"Police evacuated some of the neighborhood, although next-door neighbor Verna Koepp was told by police to go to her basement and stay there for her safety, she said." Somebody call Verna and tell her its okay to come out now.

knows that when a cheesehead runs out of beer, things can get a bit dicey, perhaps we should have had Favre come over and talk him out after the game. 50 officers involved? Sounds like every officer that need overtime fired up the squad car and came over. They draw straws to see who got to shot this idiot?

The friends of the 19 year old son - ages 13 to 15 - anyone else think that is kind of odd. I don't think I would allow my 13 or 15 year old to hang out with a 19 year old!!!

Whole scene appears strange. But then in Wizzyland they test the BAT differently. There it is the Beer Available Test. If no beer then fight.

Obviously you know nothing of basic security measures...it takes several officers to secure the house, and many more to cordon off the area and ensure that people stay away...it's not just because they needed overtime, believe me...this is one of the scariest calls for any officer-man with a gun, and they would rather not have been there, I'm sure.

Even though there is no connection between the two, kind of ironic that Hudson had an open-carry rally earlier.

Wow people...have some compassion for the kids that went through this horrendous event. Not one positive comment, just people being rude and thoughtless. My son was one of the teens in the house. He was actually attacked by the K9 Police dog as he escaped. This event was real and not a funny joke. Please send kind thoughts and prayers for the healing process for these kids...

I'm not being rude or thoughtless - just trying to figure out why a 13 year old is hanging out with a 19 year old! And I do feel for the kids - that had to be a horrible situation - could have turned out a lot worse.

It sounds like he needs more help outside of this incident. I hope all the kids stay strong throughout this ordeal.

Please send kind thoughts and prayers for the healing process for these kids... I'm glad your kid is safe. Maybe you could shed some light on this? Why was the 19 year old son hanging out with 13-15 year old boys and girls? Why was this man so upset? He may have been drunk but that doesn't make people shoot up their own home. Was there something going on in his house that upset him? Why was the 19 year old living with dad and not his mom? I know I won't get an answer but in a day and age when everyone is a victim, I find myself questioning why these children were allowed to put themselves at great risk with someone who is clearly unstable.

50 officers!!! I don't know and maybe I've just watched too many Dirty Harry movies but 50 officers just for one guy with a gun? I'm surprised they didn't put in a call to the National Guard for some heavy artillery reinforcement. How many of these people does it take to screw in a light bulb?

That's the Mudducks for you, they will find anything they can to rip on Wisconsin. Even though in the article it clearly stated that they'd only been in the neighborhood for a year and the Dad was a truck driver so it's possible they weren't even originally from Wisconsin. The Minnesota hypocrites will just keep idolizing the same player that they ripped on GB for idolizing all those years ago. Minny is obsessed with their Big Brother Wisconsin and will do or say anything to try to one up us. Stay Classy Little Sister Minnesota!!!!

I hope all the kids stay strong throughout this ordeal. It's funny, you people are using the phrase "19 year old" in the same way that you'd use "convicted felon"... "A 19 year old?!?! Goodness! Why, he's probably made ENTIRELY OF DRUGS!!" You don't know anything about the situation or the kids involved, is what I'm getting at.

No one should have to have gone through this ordeal. Not the police either.
