Review: Ellie's On Main

My wife and I ate at Barkers on Monday and thought we would go check out Ellie's...well, the bartender was rude and offensive. He was short with us and blew us off...when he finally did serve us our drinks, he shorted me $2 and when I asked him about it, he said it was his tip. When I asked what his name was he told me it was none of my business and to just get the heck out of here. I think he was under the influence of alcohol and drunk.
While we were sitting at the bar,he was making shots for his buddies that were sitting there and the way he was making them and the frequency of them he wasn't charging them. The owner of this place needs to get rid of this liability as soon as possible.

I think the bartender is nice

That doesn't sound like anything i have ever witnessed at ellie's - i think the monday night customer is over board

I think Ellie's has great, friendly staff. The atmosphere is great, and the bartenders always seem to add to it. I am suprised by the alligations of "Monday Night Customer" and definently disagree. Ellie's is one of Hudson best bars.

I love going to Ellie's! People from stillwater should stay in stillwater.

This is the same guy that pulled this crap at City Limits! He wants everything for free and thinks the poker players are something special. The bartender that was working that night does NOT drink behind the bar! The camera(s) don't lie but I guess Stillwater people do!

There are 2 types of people in the river valley. The blue collar townies and the rich who could afford to get out of the city. Seriously if you want to be pretentious, go back to to Edina.

I totally agree with Monday Night Customer, rthey need to clean the place up.

To the guy & friends that got kicked out of Ellies on his birthday..... The bouncers there are the nices guys there not big & looking for fights so for you to get tossed out you must have deserverd it!Far as the bar its going through a change so the owner can better himself dont come back! I also laugh when you said his drinks are expensive go to dicks & get 2 for 1's for 3 hours on a friday & sat night owe thats right they dont do that. 2.50 drinks pretty expensive......

Ellies Ellies Ellies I try really hard to like this place i really do. but it really depends on who is working. Some nights its great fast service good banter but other times it feels like you bug them when you come in. lots of nice tvs but you have to turn arround to watch them how hard is it to move one after remodle. management is lacking at this place.. 100 hundred projects started not one done. just seems like a bomb went off in there.

Come on we all dicks bar is going to win this battle of the bars. Its been here forever and i dont see it going anyware, When you think about it the guy that runs it is a dicks reject. They hired the biggest dbag ever who has lost his job not only at dicks but city limits also. come on this guy clearly cant get along with anyone, he treated people like crap the last 2 bars and the bs continues. my friend cant get in 2 the bar cause he kicked him out of dicks 2 bars ago. Just so you know hes back at dick spending his money.

When I go out into downtown Hudson I avoid Ellies for 1 simple reason ,they pour cheap liquor into their top shelf bottles I drink only Crown on the rocks if I drink any place other than Ellies i feel fine in the morning but when I drink there I wake up with the cheap whiskey hangover ,3 times I have been there and it happend all 3 times ,I have not seen them pour cheap liquor into top shelf bottles but when I can taste and feel the diffrence it seems as though it would be true

Dont want or need ya? plus the cussing, sounds just like the staff treats everyone. i wont be back and as far as everybody eles they are figuring it out also. Ellies new slogan "dont want or need ya" sounds about correct cant wait to see it on there new shirts.
