Insurance companies are dropping people daily and they choose who lives or dies by withholding monies for needed health procedures.

The cost of health care is going to literally KILL people. When you have to decide the day to day needs like, housing, food, utilities and fuel for your auto; you can't worry about medications that may sustain your life.

Middle class are hardest hit, too. If we're not taxed to death, it will be the costs of trying to prolong our lives that will eventually end it.

The mortality rate for this socioeconomic class, will be considerably lower in the next decade; if this mindless trend on us citizens continue.

What is the middle-class. Define please. Shoot, what I was making when I was thirty and rich would put me in the poor house now.

For some, middle class is $65,000 and above. If you are making $20,000 a year, then your in the poor class. Unless you are in Kentucky

Some people have not evolved with the times. Including me. I keep thinking what I make is middle class until I see what an educated, hard working person makes nowadays.

Remeber, when you talk economics, exclude Ohio and Michigan. They no longer count. No money here.

Oh, and by the way, a good (real) middle class person can afford to pay insurance if they forget the credit cards and get rid of the over sized dream mansion houses here in Green where two "love birds" sit, staring at each other. Take about half of the rooms off and they would have an affordable house.

It is all simple economics and being happy with reasonable finances.

I am fortunate enough to work for a big company here in Buffalo,(born in Ravenna) and we have good health coverage. I pay about $90 a month for me and my daughter. Not too sure about the definition of middle class though. Here in Erie county the income limit for a 2 family unit to get any assistance be it food or medical is a wopping $1,300 monthly, before taxes mind you! They don't take into account that in some families like mine, there is only 1 income, my daughter is 4 and clearly does not have a job. Anyway. I've haven't had to ask for Govt assistance yet but I can only imagine how much more hard it is for someone who meets those limits.

Recently being diagnosed with MS and the thought of someday maybe not being able to work is terrifying to say the least. I'm a single mother who made $30,000 last year. Now remove from that $450 a month for day care, about $800 a month for rent/utilities, add to that clothes, food and gas. I'd be dead in the water without my healthcare. I'm a single parent in the true sense of the word.

But alas, even with it I still can't afford the meds,$40 each copay plus the needles and other little stuff,$20 copay each doctor visit. So I have elected to be a guinney pig instead. I'm going to participate in an ongoing study testing the use of Avonex and Copaxone taken together. Everything is free, the doc visits, the meds, everything. I don't want to do it but I have no choice. It's a sad day when you tell yourself that you have to be an "experiment" to survive.

This got long and now I'm depressed again, lol. GOOD LUCK TO ALL RIDDING IN THE SAME BOAT AS I.

Was paying 450 bucks a month premium for insurance, with a thousand dollar deductable and a twenty percent co-pay. I said f-it, cancelled it and am going to take my chances. When I needed to go to the doctor i couldnt't even afford it because the deductable wasn't even met, it would have just cost me more money I didn't have because I was so broke from paying the premium. I thought this is bs, never again will i pay for insurance like that.

Yup, if you want retiree health care, you can't retire until eligible for Medicare unless you are VERY VERY rich or of course a CIVIL SERVANT (Federal, State, county, muncipal). You see, our politicians are still sticking it to us ........ EVERYONE in the Private Sector has been getting the shaft but NOPE, not the Civil Servants. The politicians just keep giving them MORE & MORE & MORE (they enjoy 60-90% of pay Pensions and free or near free retiree health care ....ON OUR DIME) while the rest of us go Broke !

Don't you think its time we (as TAXPAYERS, paying for the Civil Servants' benefits) stand up and say NO MORE !

Civil Servants are the energizer bunny's of greed and the self-serving, vote-selling, contribution-soliciting, politicians are their enablers.

One of the persons interviewed above just took a vacation to Italy and claims to have a home in Los Vegas, Nevada.

Also is working for a Ravenna area police department as a dispatcher. His wife is gainfully employed. This is a good example of people whinning about things and not even telling the truth.

I think the person needs to write an apology to the ABJ. If you are going to brag about how rich you are, better shut up when you are interviewed

I was sitting on the veranda of my palatial estate discussing your comments with my butler and we quite agree.
