My Family and I had dinner last night and We thought it was good. I don't mind paying $2.50 for a good Hot Dog cooked on a grill. After dinner the owner came around with Fresh, Warm donuts right off the line. OUTSTANDING. There was nothing like it. Just like -- NOOO better than Krispy Kreme.

Hi

its very obvious you are all the same person, your comments on how great your restaurant is are so funny

"OUTSTANDING. There was nothing like it. Just like -- NOOO better than Krispy Kreme"

"We will go back because The food was great and service was good. We like the Sahlen Jumbo dogs!"

Boy..these comments sounds like a commercial.

No one is bashing your "reputable establishment" just voicing that i didn't care for it. Now I'm not going to debate the brand of hot dog you cook like people have in this forum, I really don't care about the brand, I just know what taste good to me. I have talked more then a few people, who agree with me too. So I know I'm not the only one. I've also overheard conversations about Step Right Up, not positive ones I'm afraid to say.

Don't Americans have enough junk in their trunk without eateries opening up specializing in the worst of the worst??? We've got so many people where I work at who look totally circular (if you know what I mean). I see them, men and women, struggling to walk to the restrooms, the lunchroom, and to the exit at quitting time. They are often breathless from this. Why are we like this???(I'm about ten pounds overweight myself.) We are killing ourselves!!!

My family and I stopped in there last week, we looked over the menu, (very limited) we thought for hotdogs and burgers it was a bit over priced. The place was pretty empty and it really didn't appeal to us, we turned around and walked out. Sorry...for the same price we got a lot better selection at Yours Truly

As someone who also comes from Western New York and has longed for a place where I can get a natural cased char-grilled hot dog, Step right up has settled my craving. Natural cased Hot Dogs are not for everyone, but I would recommend this place to any one of my friends and are currently making plans to take my parents(Buffalo Born and raised) to Step right up.

The prices are fair and the food that I ate was delicious. The only thing missing for me to make it really feel like home would be a tall glass of Aunt Rosie's Loganberry!!!

As a customer, not a competitor posing as a customer, I would like to make a positive comment. The donuts are great, fresher than the competition, and with the right sweetness. That's my favorite part. Also, you don't pay an arm and a leg for coffee, but you can sit and read the paper if you want.

The sandwiches have a good, grilled taste. Yes, they're more than Circle K. However, you aren't eating on the parking lot with the gas pumps either. I will say Yours Truly has more ambiance, but they're pricier, you have to tip, and I can stop in here with jogging clothes on and not get the feeling I'm out-fashionista-ed. I go to both places, but at different times.

I hope whoever is petty and bitter enough about having another business open up will get over it! The fact that you have so much time to post tells me more about your lack of business than I need to know.

OMG look at the ISP cities on these posters...it is SO clear that BOTH the owners AND the trolls are posting...no wonder reviews don't mean anything anymore. Let it go, this thread is obviously pointless.
(BTW the cities listed are NOT typically where the people actually are, just where there ISP happens to log in...not the several "different" people from Canton, Geneva, Mentor ISP addresses...the same people creating various names)

Kill this stupid thread

I can't help sharing a location. I posted because I looked at another website and saw a competitor obviously stacking the deck. Then I saw it here, too.
It may be dumb, but it angers me. I appreciate a forum that's actually used correctly. I want to know what real customers think.

It's also unfair business practice by the competitors.

It's a shame that topix is not useful for this. I guess you're right and this thread should die.

Coming from Buffalo, I love this place. The Sahlen Jumbo hotdogs are wonderful. If any of you have eaten at Ted's in Buffalo, then you get the picture. To those that dont like it, you dont know what a good hot dog is all about...... To compare this place to a gas station hot dog, sounds nutty. The fries are hot and fresh, the staff friendly and the place very clean.....go try it and you will like it!!!!

I went to Step Right Up a little over a week ago and it had a sign on the door, said closed, on vacation,(no re-open date was posted) umm.....ok, Went there yesterday and its still closed?? Checked their website today, and it says "closed for season? Looking for a new location" Didn't know the hotdog and burger season ended in the fall?
THANKS FOR WAISTING MY LUNCH HR twice now Step Right Up. You could at least put that info on your door that your are closed for the season?? Was a customer, not anymore. I think we all saw this coming anyways.

I went to Step Right Up a couple of times and thought it was Okay. Not great, just Okay. Agree with the posts that complain about over priced hot dogs. The carnival / theme park paintings were a little weird for me, but the employees were all nice to me. This isn't one of those places you would go out of your way to eat, but fine if you wanted a quick bite.

So, now that Hudson lost another business - will the economy be blamed or will they finally admit the city is not business friendly?

By the way, Cali Juice is closing too!

Why is this still a topic? It has looked empty for quite a while now. Who actually thought they could build a business on HOT DOGS and DOUGHNUTS in an educated and health conscious area? ENOUGH of the dumb business ideas...I am sick of driving to Streetsboro, Stow, Cuyahoga Falls, or Oakwood Plaza to get everything houses ACTUALLY need when there are empty industrial parks all over the outer skirts of Hudson. Stop ruining the residential town and develop REAL business there!

I did not believe the hype over this DOG, never will, it was just short of biting into a hunk of sawdust. Aldi's sells bhetter dogs for .99 a pack, uuugh. The owners biggest mistake was the location, I won a bet with his neighbor for twenty buck, they were out of business two days before my bet was up. I then went to Lorain Avenue and bought ten of Steve's Hot Dogs and the next day had two at the Westside Market, awesome DUDE! Please, don't put another restaurant in hudson, we only have so many people to go around.
but, good luck in the lumber business.
