Meet Sarah Palin’s radical right-wing pals

Full story: www.salon.com

Extremists Mark Chryson and Steve Stoll helped launch Palin’s political career in Alaska, and in return had influence over policy. “Her door was open,” says Chryson — and still is.

After November 4th, any books written about Sarah Palin will be available at Dollar Stores and selling at half-price or less.
Wait for yard sales and pick one up for ten cents or less.

"The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government. And I won't be buried under their damn flag. I'll be buried in Dawson. And when Alaska is an independent nation they can bring my bones home."

1991, J. Vogler, founder, Alaskan Independence Party.

Todd Palin was a card carrying member 1995-2002. Governor Palin warmly welcomed the AIP convention to Alaska saying she supported their efforts. Soon, perhaps, to be our country's new vice president. Comforting, huh?

Its easy to see why conservatives hate the US Constitution when you read articles like this.

Equal protection?
Due process?
No state religion?
Freedom of speech?

All concepts that stand in the way of a their beloved theocracy.

Little wonder George Bush called it a just "goddamned piece of paper".

51-year-old Mark Chryson,... computer technician waxed nostalgic about quixotic battles to eliminate taxes, support the “traditional family” and secede from the United States.

Here are quotes from Mark Chryson:

"When I FIRST met her (PALIN), I thought she was EXTREMELY LEFT!!!"

"I consider her a friend."

"At least 30 other States are talking about seceding from the US."

"All of our Separation movements are peaceful"

"Should the confederate States have been allowed to secede? YES"

“I’ve (Chryson) got enough weaponry to raise a small army in my basement. Then again, so do most Alaskans.”

associating with known traitors. it's like gettysburg was never fought at all. i'm glad my father didn't live to see someone like this nominated for the vice presidency. he was decorated at iwo jima, and to see such an obvious bimbo with treasonous friends get this far in national politics would have shamed him.

The McPalin's have some splainin to do. McCain and his membership in the fringe right wing US Council for World Freedom where he associated with terrorists and convicted criminals. Palin needs to give full disclosure of her involvement with the secessionist Alaskan Indepenced Party, their mutual political support, and her trying to appoint an AIP John Birch Society member to the Wasilla city council.

These are serious issues that demand answers, especially since they have made such a big deal about Obama serving on the same board funded by a powerful Republican who supports John McCain.

Although I do believe guilty by association is dirty it does suck to be palin friends with americans who don't want to be american anymore. Anti~american. It's not right to use guilty by association whether it be mccain palin biden or obama.
Also I agree Salon as a resource doesn't entirely persuade me at all. Actually the whole article seemed in favor of pointing the finger at palin.

Salon isn't the only one reporting that information. Many of them are.

You also have to realize the overtime Republicans are putting into smearing Obama. There's no doubt that I see smaller businesses taking action here. Many of the more mainstream "bought and paid for" media will lean towards whoever pays them the most money. But they always leave things out, and put in distortions.

It only makes sense that Palin has breeded a lot of resentment in the real Americans. People who dont carry the hatred and would rather stick to the issues will silently fight back.

I dont think any of the Republican followers at rallies are "real" Americans. They do carry the hatred and think that using their gun rights is more important than everything else. They are the disgrace of America.

I read the article. So? The guy supports property rights, lower taxes, and gun rights. He thinks Alaska would be better off as its' own country. He supports states rights. You know, states rights, where people in each state get to decide what they want to do and not be told what to do by a central govt. in Washington? You know why you socialists are so offended by this way of thinking? You don't understand individualism. Basically what makes you feel warm and fuzzy is being an ant in an anthill. You don't want to make your own decisions, or to take the evil view, you want a big central govt. to force everyone to live the way YOU want to. America was founded as a country where people had freedom to do what they wanted to, and the Constitution was written to protect the people from government. The founders had left Europe, where an aristocratic "elite" controlled everyone's lives. You socialists can't wait to have that system installed here. You hate guns because the fact that many citizens own guns makes it harder for the govt. to enforce extreme measures on the populace. Stalin, Hitler, Castro...all dictators usually ban guns not under their control as a first step. Politicians prefer unarmed peasants.

Actually this isn't guilt by association. They not only associated with people who belonged to terrorist organizations, they themselves were members of terrorist organizations which, by any definition makes them terrorists.

After the election and the Palins go back to Alaska, there should be congressional hearings to find out who knew about the Palins' involvement with this anti-American political movement and how the vetting could have been so sloppy as to allow such an extremist this close to the White House without any alarms. The Vice President of the AIP said Sarah Palin was a stealth member of the AIP with a Republican label. Scary isn't it?
