For the farmer the government writes laws to make it more difficult for them to survive.
The government pours money into this disaster to aid the auto workers but could care less about the farmers.

The consumer still needs milk and meat but they are shunning the government owned cars our tax dollars are supporting and buyin Japaneese cars. Is this good for our economy?

I set and listen to the Wyoming ranchers who spend a major part of the morning setting in Elsie's Cafe bitching about democrats. Most have no use for any working stiff that draws some unemployment.
Once done with their coffee and breakfest they head out in a one ton duelly diesel pulling a fifth wheel aluminum trailer.
If I go to SD I listen to the same type bunch setting around cussing Democrats and looking for someway to get the taxpayer to pay for something all the while they bad mouth the guy on unemployment.
Believe it or Not I don't care but its a fact.

Now the grasshoppers. I don`t see how one guy can deal with it by himself. They move in swarms and will keep moving. It will take a collective effort to check them and they are all through the farmbelt this year. I saw them in the Springfield,SD area where I spent a couple days with my friend. In the long run this problem will efect the price of food in the market which will hit us all. I don`t know who should pay for spraying them, but it is going to have to be a collective coordinated effort. I know a little about grasshoppers and they can devour a crop if ther are enough of them. Can the Co-ops do it?
Thank you for bringing this issue up,at least we will get some attention to it. I believe you are a rancher. It might shed some light on things in general if you checked on what the Democrats in California have done to our ranchers and farmers.
