We had one of those guys in the 70s. For God sakes, let priests get married and it will give you a much better quality clergy. It seems that the Catholic church attracts people with that type of behavior. Not all, but certainly enough. Good riddance!

What is worse are the so called good clergy who knew what was going on and turned a blind eye allowing even more children to be abused. A church that claims to be the advocates of Morality. UNBELIEVABLE!

Married clergy has not stopped abuse in Protestant denominations or other religions. They similar or higher rates of abuse.

You have to always watch out for people who assume the role of spiritual adviseors and mediaries for God. True, many can be true human beings. But then there are those who adopt this role for the sole purpose of exploiting others sexualy, financially, whatever they can get. Never give them te benefit of the doubt. This isn't limited to the catholic church.
