What type of health insurance benefits does dart offer?

Dart is self-insured. They have put up a bond for a percentage of what they anticipate they will pay out in coverage. Yes, large corporations can be self-insured in most states (Kentucky is one of them). It saves the company money and they just hire an administrator to run the fund. Dart is paying taxes on their part and they are funding the plan. Yes, Dart has their own insurance company if you want to look at it that way. Dart is the underwriter for the employee health insurance for Kentucky. Just because YOU don't understand it doesn't make US stupid. |
