The Horse Cave City council passed first reading tonight to increase the mayor's salary $1750 per month to the current $250. This will make the total be $2,000 per month. They also voted to increase the Council pay of $100 per month added to $50 they are now receiving for a total of $150 per month.

But you intended for it sound that way. Let's tell the whole story. The fact is that no one serving now will recieve that pay increase if passed. It will go into effect for city council Jan. 1, 2013. As for mayor it will be in effect Jan. 1, 2015. "fyi" We all know who you are and what you are up to, don't we? You was at the meeting tonight sitting in the second row. Right??????????

Odell was able to save the city of Horse Cave the insult of having to waste so much money on a useless council for four years. Unless the people of Horse Cave stand up NOW and tell the council LOUD and CLEAR that they DO NOT want to pay that much money to a useless excuse of a mayor like randall, then they will vote themselves the raise. I called this one years ago. randall and co. are going to steal all they can from Horse Cave. The only bright spot is that they cannot vote their raise in until NEXT election. That gives some good citizen time to file to run for mayor and run that no good autocrat out of office for good.

Odell could have accomplished much more if it was not for randall organizing the council to fight every little thing that Odell tried to do to help Horse Cave. The "new" firehouse that randall is going to claim he did for the city is a prime example of his uselessness. If the council could have worked with Odell the new firehouse would already be a reality. In fact, it would have already been a couple of years old by now. Oh, yeah, the TAX MONEY that randall wasted on an illegal lawsuit would have gone a long way to help pay for a firehouse. randall is a waste as a public servant.

Odell was right for the job. I like Randall on a personal level, but this is ridiculous. Odell even tried to stop a raise in salary for the mayor. The Lindsay man said it perfectly when he said the money could be used to repair the town.

The neville kid being hired is a perfect example of favoritism at it's finest since Curry and Dr. Steve have been best friends all there lives. The Neville kid vandalized a womans home who did nothing to him and he was a grown man when he did it, then he wants to be a cop in town, when he proved what he represents. Small town cops are a joke, might as well put child molesters on as police chiefs.

The council is an absolute joke except for the older man - Lindsey I believe. Some of them look like straight up street hustlers. Why in the world does the council need a raise? Half of them show up late and really make asses of themselves at the meeting, the mayor's salary is debatable.
