Dudes el paso has and always will be a "Heavy-Metal-City" that is why it sold out quickly I just wish it was at the barn so I can buy some beers and get bombed like I did the last time they were here

The reason they sold out is it's a tiny venue..9000 seats....They sure would look funny in the SunBowl! or a real venue.

My brother went all the way to Phoenix to see these guys cancelled the show. That was much more expensive than the $100.

Why if it were in Vegas would it be a better deal? I am sorry but this is the reason most bands do not come here anymore. Them coming here actually saved alot of people the money of having to travel to another "larger city" to see them. I wonder how many dollars are coming in from out of town and I am not talking about Las Cruces.(Study please El Paso Times?) When we went to see Tom Waits (a much smaller show in comparison I know but just as monumental) I met people from all over the U.S. and it made me feel great about our town. Maybe it takes something like this to show the managers of other large acts that El Paso can and will support them just like the other big cities do. And BTW you are correct about the show that they put on here being the exact same show as all the others. I just heard that there is a loyal group of followers currently petitioning the band to change up the set list because they are following them from show to show and there is no change up. So I am not disagreeing with you totally. I just think if we want to get the great acts here we have to pay just like the other cities do.
Glad you asked. The stages in Vegas are designed to enhance the sound to its fullest effect. The seating and tables are more comfortable. Drinks and meals can be had of all sorts. Facilities are more accessible. Concert memorabilia is equal in both here and there. If it is at the Mandalay Bay at the beach you could be taking a dip.

Like you said it is a fact that these band legends pass El Paso. The reason Albuquerque and Las Cruces take up a lot of these shows. Then you can never leave out the Indian casinos of New Mexico. Casinos know they bring in adult crowd who will stay and play at these locations is one major reason. So, they can offer them a better deal.

News to me that the following of AC/DC is comparable to the Grateful Dead traveling history. These must be the new deadheads of the century. We do need this type of music and others to seriously stop in El Paso. I would welcome it more if it is a nicer facility with more to offer.

WE HAVEN'T HAD A CONCERT IN YEARS!! I DON'T BLAME THE BOYS FROM DOWN UNDER. WE'VE BEEN WAITING YEARS FOR A REAL METAL BAND TO COME TO EL PASO. GOOD OPPORTUNITY TO CAPITALIZE ON OUR POWER CORD HUNGRY EARS. APART FROM THE SLOW ACTION IN EL PASO, THE Q, DOESN'T MAKE MATTERS ANY BETTER BY PLAYING 30 YEAR OLD MUSIC. OH WELL...

Tribute to all Rock-n-Roll is a must to appreciate the history of it. Rock from the 80's to the current is different than late 50's, 60's, 70's, and then the 80's with the guitar sound of different types of rock from the hair bands to grunge rock, to the 90's with grunge and rap rock to the current where it has reverted to the rock sound it should be. The rock of today has come back to the guitar sound with the lead singer singing instead of the rap stuff.

Here the previous poster poster wants us to give credit to AC/DC. Then turns around with a gripe of music from that era.

The poster does have a point of leaving it on the oldies stations or the genre rock of the 60's or 70's or 80's or 90's.

Still Led Zeppelin's,"Stairway to Heaven," belongs in any rock genre. The most requested song of Rock-n-Roll of all time.

The first time AC/DC played here Bon Scott carried Malcolm Young on his shoulders while Malcolm wailed on his mahogany SG. Wireless technology was still pretty new, and Bon carried Malcolm from the back of the coliseum, through the crowd on the floor, with more than a few beefy roadies clearing a path... It was awesome!
You are totally right, I was there, Sunday, Sept.16, 1979. Ticket price:$7.00 (still have the stub). I had just turned 17 and actually chained myself to the front stage barricade with a bicycle chain I sneaked in around my waist so I wouldn't lose my front row spot. Bon still is the best frontman in hard rock's history. Most definitely my top rock concert ever. Long live Bon!!! RIP, Feb.19.1980....Brian who?...AC/DC has been releasing the same record for the last 25+ years. Total respect for the Young Bros., no question, but Bon's unique lyrics and delivery are unmatched to this day. Who made who?

AC/DC is a good band which I rocked to as a teenager. One hundred dollars per ticket is definitely worth it and my girlfriend, myself, my son and his girlfriend are going to have a good time.

Good clean fun.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Sagittarius

Slow down! You're trying to do too much and it's driving you - and everyone else - up the wall. What's more, if you're in too much of a hurry you'll start to become accident-prone and that will make you even more het up. Try to take any setbacks or domestic mishaps in your stride, otherwise you'll end the day feeling like a nervous wreck.
