Deer are best in the freezer. We need a longer hunting season for these meadow rats. They have become the number one pest.

hardly. people just need to be more aware of deer in the roadway

I'm sorry the man was killed, but it was an accident. Expanding deer hunting season will only result in more yabbos shooting each other and innocent hikers

New England has more deer today than in Colonial times and deer is no longer a staple for the dinner table as it was then. Arguments against deer kills or longer seasons where the meat is used to feed people lack reason and are basically 'Bambi' founded. Senseless deaths like this caused by deer bolting for the woods are stong arguments for extended seasons.

The Deer was just trying to get on the machine too, to go for a ride. He didn't know it was going that fast.

So I guess the Deer's immeadeate family will be facing a lawsuit and change in state law prohibing any deer from wandering onto the roads without supervision. This is Connecticut after all. The Nanny State

Thoughts and prayers for the deer! I am so sorry to see that such a young deer lost his life, maybe God was calling him to Heaven to help populate his heavenly forests. Oh, I am so sorrowful for his family.

Your posts never make any sense. You can't tie EVERYTHING into a liberal hating agenda. They were being sarcastic.

Your attempt at humor is misplaced...remember a person was killed. About 5 years ago a motorcycle rider was killed on the Merritt Parkway in Connecticut by a deer. According to eyewitnesses the deer was attempting to mount the motorcycle....another senseless death caused by deer overpopulation..

If he hit a stop sign the liberals would be making all stop signs out of rubber.

If the accident was the result of a soft road shoulder the liberals would spend billions on road modification.

If he hit a railroad crossing barrier they would be removed or made of rubber.

But, he hit a damn deer. Oh well. Maybe the liberals will require a warning device be installed on all scooters so the dear is warned and not hit. OR, maybe thay will require fake U No Whats so that deer who try to mount scooters are satisfied.

What do you think will happen when one of those "green" cars designed by liberals that weighs about 400 lbs hits a deer.

How many children ,elderly, have suffered with lymes'disease because of the bambi complex. The inmates run the asylum
and its our darn fault. Cull the heards to sane managable numbers and these stories, and the many you don't hear about will decrease.

When you drive a motorcycle or scooter as we all know you leave yourself wide open for anything. Look at all the motorcyclists that are being killed without hitting deer. Deer have a right to be here, Its the hunters and all the land that is being taken away that make deer run. People need to be more careful, slow up and look at the sides of the road for any movement. If he was in a car I doubt there would have been a death. Don't blame the deer!!

TKL:
I'm just waiting for the day a deer BOLTS out of the woods at the side of the road right into the hood of your car, before your eagle eyed vision has time to make you hit the brakes.

Yes, deer have a right to be here.
Nobodys saying make them extinct.
But without natural predators thinning the herd, their numbers are creating a huge risk for the human population, in terms of accidents like this one.

"If he was in a car I doubt there would have been a death"

You're right. Let's outlaw scooters instead! Problem solved. Thanks TKL!!

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Sagittarius

It's difficult to keep your mind on what you're doing today because it keeps wandering off in all directions. There won't be much you can do about this except to be aware of it, and preferably to postpone doing anything very complicated or important until you're less distracted and absent-minded. Unfortunately, you won't get very far with it at the moment.
