This is something that is actually not as shocking as it sounds. Many men and women are wrongfully persecuted everyday. Many times you believe it will never happen to your family and then it does. My brother was accused in March 06' he has stood by his innocence since. He got 20 yrs for a rape he did not commit. Most families stand by and wait for something good to come out of it all, but not in my brothers case. My family and I will fight tooth and nail for his freedom! He has 2 little girls, a loving wife and the best family a guy could ask for! Over 30 letters were sent to the governor of Kentucky, but sitting and waiting for word, is something that is hard to do when you want him out now. If anyone has any information on what more we can do to get him out sooner, please contact us. I will be visiting this site as often as possible and so will my sister in laws mother. We just want him home and will not rest until he is with us again! If anyone wishes to learn more about this, my sister in law's mother and I are free to answer any questions you may have. PLEASE FREE THOMAS BUCKLEY! Thank you

I am confused... People come to these forums all the time and read comments but know one ever wants to help. If you are free to read the comments, you should be free to make them too. It doesn't matter if you don't have any ideas or suggestions to help us, just as long as we know that you are thinking of my family and that we are in your prayers. Also, I don't understand why no one wants to help us free an innocent man. I am sure if it was your family member, you would want us to help and pray for you as well. I just want my brother home and so does my nieces, they don't just want him, they need him too. Please people, open your hearts and minds and think of something to say. Thank you for your time.

I understand what you are going through. My family and I exerienced a similar situation in the Fall of 2006. It took a year to get the truth out, but we won. Hang in there and never give up.

I don't plan on giving up and niether does the others in my family. We just don't want to continue waiting for the governors response. We just want to know other things we can do to help him out why we wait. We want him home now and the wait is driving me crazy. I'm glad it worked out for your family, hopefully the news will be in soon on my brother and he will be home! Thank you for your response!

We will not ever stop trying to clear my son in law. He's a fine young man, who tried to befriend the wrong person. Every little girl on the planet has a crush on an older friend of her big brother if she has one. That's life. He tried to protect 2 people he cared about from horrible abuse from a very evil person. That's what got him where he is today. The cops know their father died under very suspicous circumstances. Heck he was the brother of the top lawman in the county and the father of a state trooper. Don't ya think they'd have questioned his death. Well guess what..WRONG.If my brother or father was living with someone that I knew he was having problems with, DON'T think for a minute that I wouldn't be asking every question in the book. I'd have CSI working day and night til the truth was found. Instead, they want to convict someone on hear say evidence alone, for a crime that was never commited. Any help we can get to brin Christian County down where it belongs, we appreciate. Thank you for all your concern and comments. May God bless you all. Just continue to pray that my son in law will soon be home with his baby girls. They need their DADDY..

What are the facts of the case? Was their evidence of rape? DNA? Who was the accuser? Some info would be nice. You ask for help but provide no background.

The facts of the case: NO DNA, The girl who accused my son in law was a little girl with a puppylove crush on her big brother's best friend. When he didn't show that kind of affection back she got her feelings hurt. Five yrs after the ACT was supposed to have taken place, my daughter met and married my son in law. The girl's mother had tried to get my son in law into bed with her, he was not interested in her either. The mother and my daughter had been friends yrs ago. My daughter had lived with her at one point. My daughter had reported her for child abuse, when she knocked her 13 yr old son down a flight of steps and hit him with a metal belt buckle. The mother told my daughter that she would get her back when she least expected it. Well when my daughter and son in law got together that gave her the chance to get even with both. The girl's brother is a state trooper here and her uncle was the sheriff. So now you know why my son in law was convicted with no evidence. The mother made pictures of her daughter @ the age of 9 yrs old kissing a 23 yr old man passionately. The only picture ever made of my son in law with the girl, they were sitting in front of the Christmas tree sitting a foot apart, no passion there. The foreman of the jury was a close personal friend of the girl's family, as well as several other members of the jury were family friends. We couldn't prove any of this til after the original trial. The prosecutor in this case was running for Commonwealth attorney, when she came to my business and looked at all of our evidence and gave us advice opn the case. She turned around in court and said she never saw the paper work that we had. The STATE SUPREME COURT now has all this evidence and knows about the witnesses we have that she was lying. Our prayer is a new trial trial or that my son in law will be released. The girl's brother testified for my son in law, and her older sister has given a statement to our attorney, that the girl was at her home in Oklahoma at the time the crime was supposed to have been committed. The girl changed her story and the dates which was sets of yrs, 3 times on the stand. If you'd like more info, my email is huggie_mom@yahoo.com. Any help or concern for the truth is welcomed. Have a blessed day

Sounds like a great bunch of people. Occasionally there are convictions of innocent people. Was he denied a change of venue?

Yes he was denied a change of venue. Anything we could do to help his case was denied. There was no physical evidence whatsoever presented.I am assuming this was due to all of her family connections. Thanks for your interest and any help or advise you have would be apprecited.

I watch a lot of crime shows on TV (Cold Case, Forensic Files, etc.). There is an "Innocence Project", attorneys who review cases and decide whether they're worth looking into. Have you considered contacting them?

We have contacted the "Innocence Project" They said for us to wait for them to contact us back. We are waiting and praying. We are also trying every other means that is brought before us. We are not wealthy people, so we have mortgaged and sold everything we have to try and get to the truth. As human nature is, we are trying to make things move faster. Because of this jealous girl and her evil mother, my son in law has missed the birth of his children and everything a father should see during the early stages of their lives. I have contacted talk shows and news shows. Our biggest obstacle always comes back to who the girl's family is and the officials they have in their hip pockets. The 2 lawyers we hired were useless. New evidence was presented to the last one the last day of court before the jury was sent out and he told us it was too late to bring it up. Since you say you are from here, you know the justice system leaves much to be desired.

I do indeed! I just found it hard to believe I live here and never heard anything about it. One of the Innocent Projects took a couple of years before they ever actually were able to actually get the ball rolling. I don't know if those cases are pro bono or not, but I'm sure they're inundated with cases.

Best of wishes to you all. Believe me, the girl and her family will get theirs. They always do, one way or another. I know that's not much consolation. Hang in there!

Thanks Liechen2 for your words of encouragement. So many people n this town are quick to judge because of who the family is. They are allowed to stalk my daughter and harrass her. All we are told by the officials is they have freedom of speech and the right to go anywhere they want and do what they want. The guy who was really doing what my son in law was convicted of, showed up in front of my daughter's house on my granddaughter's first birthday and just sat out there talking to some of his friends. They are allowed to taunt my family in anyway they want. It's so hard to abide by the law as the legal system says. I thank GOD daily for being a Christian. If I didn't have that to live for being HUMAN would be even more difficult. My husband wanted to drag the guy out of his car and make him fess-up, but all that would have done was got him put in jail and the guy would still be out stalking my daughter. Please keep us in your prayers. And for the person who wants to know where Lynn Pryor goes to church, it would do no good to know. She has all those close to her convinced she's nothing but GOOD. I pray for her daily and am glad I'm not her judge. She will answer for her sins come JUDGEMENT DAY.

I have not been on the site in a very long time. You want answers to help, I will give them! There was no evidence, no DNA, no proof! Just a little girls word against his. She couldn't even keep her story straight in court, but somehow they still found him guilty! This evening alone, I have emailed the governor for a second time as well as George W. Bush. I also emailed ever website the president had just to make sure he got it! I hope I get through to someone!

well im going through the same thing with my brother. He served in iraq for 18 months. He got back in november 2006 and was arrested in july 2007. His trial was a bench trial and he got 17 years. There was so many inconsistencies. The judge didnt even pay attention he was on his computer the whole time. It was a case of she said he said. But ive done some research on the innocence project and they are willing to help. I will pray for you and your family. If he is already out then I hope his life is going good as well as yalls. just let me know.

If you're invited to a party or gathering today and you don't know whether to go, you should. You'll have a terrific time and you might meet someone who always makes your knees go weak. Even if it's a perfectly harmless flirtation and you're both happily committed to other people, it will still do your ego good to have a tantalizing conversation with this person.
