Seems like this lie about President Obama being a Muslim was dealt with months ago and proven false.

School not a madrassa
News reporting by CNN in Jakarta, Indonesia and Washington, D.C., shows the allegations that Obama attended a madrassa to be false. CNN dispatched Senior International Correspondent John Vause to Jakarta to investigate.

He visited the Basuki school, which Obama attended from 1969 to 1971.

"This is a public school. We don't focus on religion," Hardi Priyono, deputy headmaster of the Basuki school, told Vause. "In our daily lives, we try to respect religion, but we don't give preferential treatment."

Vause reported he saw boys and girls dressed in neat school uniforms playing outside the school, while teachers were dressed in Western-style clothes.

"I came here to Barack Obama's elementary school in Jakarta looking for what some are calling an Islamic madrassa ... like the ones that teach hate and violence in Pakistan and Afghanistan," Vause said on the "Situation Room" Monday. "I've been to those madrassas in Pakistan ... this school is nothing like that."

Vause also interviewed one of Obama's Basuki classmates, Bandug Winadijanto, who claims that not a lot has changed at the school since the two men were pupils. Insight reported that Obama's political opponents believed the school promoted Wahhabism, a fundamentalist form of Islam, "and are seeking to prove it."

"It's not (an) Islamic school. It's general," Winadijanto said. "There is a lot of Christians, Buddhists, also Confucian.... So that's a mixed school."

The Obama aide described Fox News' broadcasting of the Insight story "appallingly irresponsible."

OBAMA: If you get one of these e-mails that says I'm a Muslim, not true. I've never been a Muslim. This is just stuff that is designed to make people suspicious.
BOO HOO - So YOU admit being Muslim makes you look suspicious of certain things ? Maybe like jihadist terrorism . Why on God's green earth would your president want to give the gitmo detainees all American rights and privilages in a court of law .

Bringing them to New York just a thousands yards from where the twin towers fell . Now thats just a kick in the face . All those people living in New York will be terrified again . These are war criminals they should be tried in military court , they are not your average criminal or killer. The terrorist look forward to the big stage of New York . But if they were being tried in military court they would be the ones in fear .
Your president is not very smart !jmo

I have relatives in New York . This is a very hot topic and my democrat relatives are saying Obama probably is or was Muslim some time in his life and he has fallin off the cliff in their hearts and mind . Many cant understand his way of thinking since he got elected . They hate the healthcare bill , cap and trade , the stimulous and despise Obama's administration bringing the terrorist back to New York just 2 blocks from where the twin towers use to stand .The anxiety has already opened up all those emotions all New Yorkers went threw 9 yrs ago .

This will be many people's opportunities to express to those terrorist how they feel about them. Terrorist want to change America into something we are not. We are a country of laws and justice and we hold people accountable for the actions they do. If we change that, then the terrorist do win. The sole purpose of these terrorists is to terrorize and make Americans fear the thought of seeing them. I don't know about having the trails in NY but I do feel they should be tried and punished for what they did properly. New Yorkers deserve the first shot of voicing their opinion and watch these individuals get what they deserve. So lets put the terror into him during these trials.

My relatives who were so impacted by 9-11 , also believe the terrorist should be tried but they think since they were caught fighting against our military in a foreign land and has admitted to plotting 9-11 they should be tried in a Military Tribunal . Bringing them to New York and Giving them American liberties and freedom and our tax dollars to defend them is something many will never understand nor like . Believe me they do not fear the court of New York it will be their stage . But if they knew they were going to be in a closed Military Court they would be the ones in fear .

They are talking about the 9-11 terrorists. About the ones they caught overseas, they should be tried in military tribunals but not the 9-11 terrorists. They committed their crimes on American soil. They may not fear the courts but they may fear the people for it is the people who will decide their fates. Again the 9-11 terrorists are different from the ones caught overseas. The 9-11 guys committed their acts here, and came here. Try'em then hang'em

I think you are overlooking several very important facts.

1. The 9-11 terroist were trained outside this country to carry out an ACT OF WAR against this country.

2. They were trained by Muslim military personel.

3. 9-11 was a sneek attack against this country just like Japan in WWII.

I think they should be tried in a military court.

slap stick, you missed the facts there dude, the 9-11 terrorists all had passports to be in the US and many of them were attending US universities. They were here on US educational visas, so they did not sneak in here. They were here for many months and trained here for many months, the got training to fly airplanes here in the US. So get your facts straight before entering the debate

Why didn't Bush/Cheney bring these terrorists to prosecution during their administration?

I happen to think President Obama is very smart. He and Attorney Gen. Eric Holder have apparently given this decision much thought. I'm not going to tell them how to do their jobs.

You are probably right about the first part. If any one else has complaints, they should refer them to the previous administration. They had 7 years to put those creeps on trial but they were content to let them rot at Gitmo. That is not justice.

When they capture one of ours, they cut off their head. Sounds a little more severe that waterboarding. These terrorists don't know where Geneva is, much less what the Convention states. They only know terror. We can't handle them with kid's gloves and expect them to leave us alone. They have no respect for Obama, that is why the terror has started in the USA. They know they will be mirandized and slapped on the hand. We are at the mercy of a bunch of liberal pusses.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Gemini

It's easy to become distracted and confused because your mind is wandering about in all sorts of different directions. You're also in a highly impressionable state so will believe almost anything you're told now, whether it's true or a total flight of fancy. Be wary of muddling others by only telling them half the story or letting your imagination fill in any gaps.
