Seeking my Relatives in Honoraville, Alabama of the ( Lowe ) family.

Hello , I have currently found out about my relatives I have in the Lowe family that dates back to Robeson , NC., in the 1790's where Thomas lowe appears as head of family, in 1840's the Lowe's and some of the Walters family moved from NC. to Greenville, or Honorville, Alabama. and is not far from where I live in Mobile, Alabama. I think there is a (Mary Lowe) that still lives in Honoraville, and maybe more of my family still lives there as well . My Great Grandpa was named (John Thomas Henderson Lowe) he fought as a confederate soldier for the 45th Alabama Inf. co. I , his wife was named (Harriet Elizabeth Vickery) I am looking to talk , email , and meet with members of the Lowe family,and look at or exchange old photos.I think that they are family members in Greenville who have died and don't even have headstones on there graves to mark where they are .If you are part of, or know someone who is from the Lowe family , please let them know I would like to here from them .....wade lowe.

try kaye or Scott lowe. they are from honoraville. I don't know them personally, but my sister was friends with them. There was a teacher named Randy Lowe at Georgiana and Greenville schools at one time. I think he works at the Fred's pharmacy in Georgiana, AL now. He might be able to help.

I am also searching for the family of McGough who is from Honorville, Alabama. My grandmother was Thora Mcgough. Her mother's maiden name was Crowell, Mattie and my understanding is buried in Mt. Zion Cemetary in Honorville. Family could also have ties to Laverne, Alabama. Mr Greatgrand Father would have been Willie Thomas Mcgough. Please contact me if anyone ca help.

i believe that my great great great grandfather stephen p loe was the brother of your thomas loe (born 1792.) my name is mona fox and i live is san francisco (age 41) but was born in montgomery al and grew up in gulfport mississippi. i have heard that there is a family reunion the first sunday of september in cool springs and would like to find out if the family still gathers and how or who to contact for details. also i would like to find out if any of our ancesters served in the american revolution? my grandfather wrote his memoirs in 1951 and contains lots of interesting stories as well as an extensive correspondence between him and a eva loe mcduffie who was a secretary for DAR and had some interesting insights as well. if you have any information to share or want to get in contact please email me at firepony3@hotmail.com and feel free to pass my email address on to anyone you feel should be in contact with me as well. it's pretty cool finding a new relative and maybe one day we can meet.

My name is JEremy Vickery and I live in Greenville Al. And the teacher everyone was talking about Randy Lowe is my cousin so there is a good possibility that you could search to the greenville/ georgiana area to find your family answers. There is also alot of Lowes' in the eastern part of Butler county close to the Crenshaw county line. It might be worth a shot.

Yes our family is getting older very fast, I have cousins that work's on Genealogy like me from my close Lowe family, I have been trying to reach out to other lowe family's that are in the Greenville , Butler, Georgiana, and Crensaw county's so we can all share our history with each other, I have found cousins that want to share old photo's , letters,deeds, and old tales. Hello, I also am researching my Loe/Lowe relations from Crenshaw and Butler counties. Wade Lowe and I are connected by our gggrandfather's, George Washington Loe/Lowe and John Thomas Henderson Loe/Lowe who were brothers. I also am interested in making contact with anyone who has connections to John Pittman and Lucy McCarthy Loe/Lowe. Mona, you mentioned Eva Loe McDuffie. She wrote a detailed book called "Liberty Hill-Brush Valley-Friendship The churches-The Schools The Community and the People" of which I have a copy. In the book she said she was writing another book that would cover the "Loe and Collateral Families." I have never been able to find this book. Any clues as to if it was written or not? Alexander "Sandy" Bodiford b.1853 and Mary Ann Best b.1854are my great great grandparents. John Thomas Bodiford is their second son of twelve (eight survived)children and my grandmother's father.
