Will he stay here at UH? Will he accept an offer elsewhere? Share your thoughts on June Jones' future.

It will be up to UH. They have to make him a decent offer.

The football program would be nowhere near where it is now if it weren't for June Jones.

Pay the man his money.

If he's going to actually fly there and meet with them, then it's a done deal. No surprise that Devone Bess announced today that he is leaving also. Next season is over before it even started.

A bittersweet event. If JJ leaves, then a equal or better Head Coach must step in....Perhaps Norm Chow,Colorado's Cabral any suggestions? Will the word "turmoil" linger above the warrior football program if and when JJ leaves...Maybe a perfect season for growing pains....

In this day when coaches are given extensions annually even if they are on the hot seat, to wait until after the final game of the final year of a contract for a coach the entire state loves is just incompetent.

If June Jones leaves Herman Frazier absolutely needs to be fired. First he was asleep on the 2007 football schedule, he held off hiring Bob Nash until after recuiting season was done and now possibly losing the best football coach UH has ever had.

What the hell does he do all day?

Jone's has shown the college and professional ranks that he is a respectable coach. Yes, 1.6-2 million is alot for the college to pay out. But, that is what you need to shell out for a top notch coach. UH is giving the man the run around and I don't blame him if he moves on.

June Jones has done great things for the program and the state. It's hard to put a dollar value on all that he's done, but if we could I'm sure UH and the state got a bargain basement price with his last contract. UH has to realize that and pay him his worth. After all, June Jones also has to do what's best for June Jones.

I'm truly deeply sadden by this horrendous turn of event. How could the Athletic Director let something like this fall below the waist? After all that JJ has accomplished you would think that the priority would be to renew his contract ASAP. A weak schedule, a true Heisman contender, and a possible berth into the BCS game, and yet he dragged his feet.

My thoughts to the players is leave while you can. I don't blame you if you do. Why would you want to stay in a program that does not give you the respect and resources (from UH admin and the State) to compete? Eventually, UH will suffer defeats and get out of Divsion I b/c many and many people, including me, will not support UH ever again as long as the prevailing attitude remains.

Thank you JJ for the memories and we're always grateful for trying to turn UH around. You brought a brand of football that was exciting and gave us a chance to compete. No one blames you for leaving.

This is a sad sad day for UH.

Jone's should move on. Go for the money to close out his brlliant career. He accomplished what he set out to do, except win the Sugar Bowl.

I made a bet with my stepson that the Georgia defense was going to run over our UH offense line because our boys are not that fast, and of course not that big and strong. Unfortunately I was right.

Colt is only as good as his receivers and offensvive line make him look good, and they did make him look good with his pin point accuracy.

Colt has said many times, his line and receivers made him an accurate passer. Imagine if Tom Brady had a weak offensive line and lousy receivers. He would have been in the same position as Colt Brennan was, in the Sugar Bowl.

If JJ leaves, the football program is doomed. No one will apply for the job with the low budget, poor facilities and the low pay.

Norm Chow? Hah! He would be out of his mind to come here. The team will just revert back to like how it was before with minimal fan attendance and support.

You may remain hopeful long rice. JJ has turned this around; I don't think there's a coach out there that can. No coach would want to come here especially when they find out what JJ has to go through.

UH will suffer in recruiting, fund raising, enrollment, etc.

This is truly truly a sad day.

I'll be happy if he stays or go. UH has already gone as high as they could. SMU needs a restart and that is what JJ wants.
