Isn't is all about gaining back more local control?:

"Protesters temporarily prevent cruise ship’s entrance to Molokai":

http://www.mauinews.com/page/content.detail/i... "Protesters temporarily prevent cruise ship’s entrance to Molokai"

- Wukan’s troubles began in September, when the villagers’ collective patience snapped at an attempt to take away their land and sell it to property developers.

As far as I know, Molokai is a part of the Untied States of Amerika and when a business is denied the use of facilities for which it has secured required approvals, the takings clause of the Federal Constituion applies - the business can seek compensation

It's called, "Restraint of Trade." In this case, I hope the protesters win, but in the real world he who has the most guns wins.

In China the middle class makes from $12,000 to $18,000 and put in 50 to 60 hours of work a week. On Molokai a family on welfare with 3 or more kids make $20,000 plus for doing nothing. Thats not counting food stamps and free medical. Why would you need to sell coconut bras to tourist when you make enough to survive without some visitors crowding your space?

Who's to blame for that? The Molokai-ins? Or the system they are forced to live under?

Hey Balls, are you having erotic fantasies of being sexually molested and having your bottom hole filled and rammed by Harry?

Why not route them intruders to the more touristy places, I'm sure Honolulu would love the extra boost from foreigners or Maui and let's not forget Kauai and Big Isle. Leave Molokai alone.
