Masumi's father is right...we had 1 case in hawaii where the body returned from sea...the woman was murdered by a marine and his otherhalf... Lankford is holding out on the location of Masumi's body so he can use it as a future bargaining chip...lankford's lawyer is as cunning and subversive as he is...

It's impossible to simply toss a body into the ocean from a little offshore then have absolutely nothing (at least body parts, clothing) wash ashore, somewhere, someplace, especially after all this time.
Maybe the boys in OCCC will be able to beat Masumi's whereabouts out of Lankford.

I agree! I also agree that Lankford and his lawyer are liars.

Lankford is truly without remorse. Masumi is already dead and he has been convicted. The only reason to hold out as to where he buried Masumi is that he is hoping an appeal of his conviction will result in his being freed. If the authorities were to find Masumi's body, they would find evidence of what really happened and confirmation of his guilt.

Here is an opportunity for the guy to start showing his remorse by taking them to the body. Secondly all of you folks back home REMEMBER the attorney who represented this piece of cr_p. Never use this guy ever and hopefully he will leave the islands.
God Bless all of Masumi's family.

God bless this dear family. What a horrible thing to have to endure.
It is sad that her murderer and his lawyer/accomplice need to withhold the location of their beloved daughter for this so called "bargaining chip" factor.
Lankford, you are already a dead man walking... I am am really sorry we will have to pay for your upkeep while you are mortally alive. Have a change of heart and FINALLY do what is the right thing to do. Let us know where Masumi is. We wish to honor her with a loving memorial and provide her with dignity. If you do this, perhaps you may receive a glimmer of forgiveness somewhere.

Of course the Watanabe family is right.
The whole world knows that Landkord lied about putting the body in the ocean.
With all the prayers from everyone if that was the case the body would have surfaced.
The authorities must look for her body more so the family can take her back home with them.

The first thing Wilkerson did when Lankford hired him was to tell Lankford not to say where the body was.
That alone was a violation of professional ethics because he then put Lankford on the stand, knowing he was going to lie because his lawyer gave him the lie (among many other lies). Wilkerson should be disbarred.

He won't produce the body: the cause of death would then be verified.

If there ever was a case for Waterboarding someone to get information, this is it. I hope the braddas at OCCC put their toilet bowls to good use to get Lankford to "spit up" the information on where he hid her body. There might even be a reward!

Who is more despicable: Lankford, the mental misfit who probably couldn't make up an excuse to go to the toilet, or his liar Wilkerson who crafted the obvious web of lies foisted on the Watanabes, the police, and the jury?
Wilkerson should be disbarred and prosecuted for perjury for his gross attempts to deceive.
C'mon Hawaii Bar Association! This degenerate tars all of your members. Speak up and take action.

Let me have 3 minutes with Langford alone and he would tell me the answer or his b***s would no longer be attached to his body.

The body was buried on land and he can and should tell where it is. She needs properburiel. Yes, Wilkerson is a jerk who helped his numbskull client to fit his story to the known facts. I am glad the jury did not fall for it.

Again a lot of people have missguided rage towards this attorney. He definately took a loser case but guarenteed Lankford lied to everyone his lawyer his wife family and friends. He had no idea of the mountain of evidence he had against him. When his lawyer became aware I am sure it was to late to quit. As our system of justice does not lawyers quit in the middle lf they have been lied to.
As for the Watanabe family my heart and prayers go with you and my most sincere condolances rest in peace Masumi
I hope Lankford never steps foot out of prison for as long as he lives
