Yes even other pacific islander cultures don't like the Micros, I have Samoan and Tongan friends who tell me the Micros are trouble makers....... They tend not to show respect for others........
Not all Micronesians kill, and not all Micronesians are disrespectful. Everyone in this world have both good and bad growing in side them, that's just what hapend when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit!.
I think you should look at yourself before you start judgeing others because you are not perfict either. I'm sure you've made some stupid dumb mistakes too!. Last of all, before you go judgeing Micronesians, you should be spacific of what Island in Micronesia your bad mouthing because Micronesia holds thousands of tiny Islands.
I am a proud Chuukese Micronesian! yes, I am from the same area as the killer. No, I am not a ruthless Chuukese nor a killer!! I'm here in Honolulu purseuing my education and future. I hope you have a HAPPY THANKS GIVING.

when asians and europeans started flooding into america in the late 1800's and early 1900's, they were also looked down upon. they were accused of leeching off of the government, violent, dirty, and even garbage. they were accused by many "americans" of being the catalyst for "the downfall of the american culture and the american language"

now, irish americans and italian americans are the poster children of the face of America. Asians followed next, and now latin americans.

just give it another 10 to 20 years and micronesians will also be in that category. just like the japanese, samoans, tongans and filipinos. you were once the scum of Hawaii, but now, not so much.

How true of what you have said bradda Hawaiian. Look at sugar cane plantation immigration here in Hawaii for a great example. The first generation struggles with language and Hawaii's customs then the next generation born here fits right in. Thats what will happen to the Micronesians and it has already has started.

The other immigrants struggled to make a life for themselves and to educate their children. These new arrivals lay around like a bunch of big seals waiting to be cared for.

Not just the immigrants. Many immigrants are very successful. How can you just say Filipinos, for instance, just lay around? Or Chinese and Koreans? I work with immigrant farm workers, and they can outwork any local any day of the week.

Well said people. All points to 1 particular island just to be clear. keep in mind Micronesia is a region not an island, with hundreds of different cultures and languages. The same with Polynesia and Melanesia. until then aloha and take care.

So kick the micronesians out and then what? That will solve all of your troubles? Give me a break. That's what years and years of education taught you, Mayor? To solve a solution, you will need to pick on a group of people because their actions are what's plaguing the system? Give me a break! If you are not educated enough to see the root of the problem, please step aside and let us have someone more qualified to fill the position you hold. Apparently, you need to go back to school to learn more about 1 plus 1 equals 11!

Yesterday they pulled a dead Micro, a teenager, from the drainage canal by me. He apparently was so drunk he fell into the canal and drowned, although the water is only about two inches deep. This morning I asked a group of high school students about it and the only comment was, "One less Micro."

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Pisces

Relationships are kind of shaky under this Lunar Cycle and you may even get the distinct impression you're heading for a major showdown with a certain someone. Although this feels like a crisis, don't let panic or desperation push you into decisions you would normally steer clear of. You may think you've reached the end of the road, but this isn't a good reason to go off the deep end and make drastic decisions. Proceed with caution!
