The people of Hawaii have known about the corrupt senator for decades. The loyal people who come out of the woodwork at elections are totally indoctrinated believing that Inouye is looking out for them. Either that or our "elections" have been a big farce from the get-go. I'm leaning for the latter.

Thanks Carole..I am from North Dakota and going to UH. I am just amazed at how open Dan's corruption is. No one seems to complain.

Nobody on this forum has pin pointed Inouye as the culprit that led tha State to furlough the teachers for 17 days. Inouye has been using the DOE budget to funnel off funds to friends, relatives and special interest groups like it was a pay off for their support(donations). He is so powerful in the State of Hawaii that he can also dictate the hiring practices of the DOE. Superintendent Hamamoto is only a puppet carrying out orders. The real boss resides on Capitol Hill.
