The concept of EZway makes a lot more sense than rail and appears to be less expensive. If it can help unclog bottlenecks, people will get to work in half the time it takes now, without burning all that fuel sitting in traffic. No one will turn in their cars to ride rail, unless they live right next to a rail station and their destination is right next to a rail station.

If rail is voted down, why would it be so hard to implement traffic relief alternatives that are sensible and demanded by Oahu residents?

First, you people need to get the current city administration out of there, since they're "doing all that is possible," while the problems of Honolulu grow out of control.

"Rail" is not going to solve all the Island's problems -- so it's time to get administrators who will address the very real problems Honolulu faces -- and do something about it besides hiring more public relations experts at millions of dollars to convince everybody that everything is working beautifully, and this is the best of all possible worlds, heaven on earth, paradise, etc.

You get enough of that crap in the media, you don't need it in your government -- especially at the highest levels of public trust.

You can change that all this week -- by getting rid of these clowns that do nothing but convince you that you don't deserve any better than the garbage they're serving you, which the newspaper editors are proud to endorse and sell you out for so they can continue to live in the luxury they have grown accustomed to.

I hope Kobayashi won't give up even if rail and Mufi do squeak through. How could she and her followers just ignore the large bloc of voters who don't want to fund rail and don't think it will help alleviate traffic? Couldn't they continue to represent our valid concerns? Hannemann has the money and the unions behind him. Who's going to represent the rest of us if they win? Rail as planned will still be a bad idea. Don't give up Ann, there are more ways than one to skin a Fat Cat. This fight is far from over.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Aquarius

The emotional atmosphere is quite potent under this Lunar Eclipse, evoking a sense of crisis. The problems you've been experiencing with a certain person lately come to a head during the next fortnight, making you feel that you have to take drastic action or lay down the law. Yet this could make the situation worse than ever, especially if you act from a sense of panic or desperation. Take things gently and don't throw your weight around unless it's absolutely necessary.
