Sounds like a political move on the part of Judge Cardoza....mina mina is all I can think. A black eye for Hawaii's business reputation. Just wish these protestors would go back to where they came from and find causes to protest in their home states.

Total BS by the court system...The state invites the supper ferry, spends our tax dollars on improvments, then a liberal judge shuts it down because of enviromentlists. Like it is really gonna kill whales...get real people Almost 80 percent of the public wants it..stand up for it...

i think that if the SF is done with and leaves, pro SF people will take it out on Kauai and Maui. They will fly over and create crime, vandal, graffiti, etc. it will become a war between the islands.

This decision will be overridden very shortly by the Legislature.

stop buying "kauai made" products. stop buying "maui made" products. they don't want us - we don't want their precious crap. maui and kauai residents DO NOT COME OVER TO OAHU FOR ANYTHING - STAY AWAY.

Now, those dumb pseudo-environmentalists are going to get it in the backside come Election Day. Anybody the Sierra Club/Greens/Whatever hippy organization backs will automatically lose. The true Hawaii will speak, and it will be louder than the minority!Note to prospective business investors: don't invest in Hawaii. This place is populated with losers who rather grow pakalolo than support legitimate businesses. Auwe!

well, the judge lives on maui, so he had no choice unless he wanted everyone to hate him.

The ?Judge? has ruled. The same judge that allowed the HSF to be built. Slapped by the HSC, Judge Cardoza was doing what he had to do according to law...as he interpreted it, this time.
---Being pro-HSF I am protesting now! The law should be changed to right the wrong so that no EA, no EIS has to be done for the Superferry to use improvements that are already made. ---All of you who agree with me contact your state senator and house member, and the governor, to meet in special session immediately. |

Thank goodness that government and big business did not come out above the law in this case.

I did a pre-emptive blast e-mail to all State reps., stating my oppostion to a special session to help out this one private company. I hope others do the same. I also suggested, that if they were going to do something, they should stipulate the HSF cannot transport cars untill the EA is pau.
If the leg just passes a law to give HSF carte blanche, I hope the voters remember,(both Democrats and Republicians), what politicians voted to help the HSF. |

Under curcumstantial evidence most of the rulings for the Super Ferry is uneithical. It should have made more complete clearance before having to sail our Hawaiian waters and enviornmental studies during and after completion during its clearance? or was it not? Many individuals like myself and others whom wish not to fly on airplanes, now has to suffer the consequences to this ignorant and selfish ordeal, especially if you're claustiphobia. Considerable rulings in demand for less frequent flyers.

Good Job people of Kauai and Maui for shooting yourselves in the foot!!! The SF would have resulted in lower prices for some of the goods and services currently going to your islands, but now with the Judge's ruling, it looks like Young Brothers/Matson retains the Monopoly they have for shipping goods Interisland. I hope they bring more invasive species to your shores like they have been doing for the past 100 years.
