This is only a drop in the bucket compared with the graft that Inouye and his band of thieves (Abercrombie, Lazy Mazie and Dementia Dan) get from Las Vegas and the shipping industry (Matson) and it's unions.

Las Vegas pays this group to keep legal lottery and casino's out of Hawaii to keep the money coming in, and the Shipping Industry through this group control profits and competition through the Jones Act.

They had a scare when one of their own party made a run for it, ED CASE was not an old boy, so they even recruited Obama to support Dementia Dan (Akaka) with stories that Dan never supported single interest politics.

Unfortunately, you never understood who appointed the Supreme Court then. They got where they are through their own group of contributors, not because they are wise old people who think of democracy first.

You ask why? Here's why. If our Country collapses under the tremendous and burdensome weight of the cumulative national debt, there will be no Hawaii for you to enjoy.

No Military, no police to protect you from being attacked, robbed and murdered, no firemen to protect you from having your house torched by arsonists, no National Guard to protect you from having your possessions stripped from your comfy couch....no more nothing..

Hawaii needs to do our part to kokua or contribute, not take, take, take, take, like that pig Inouye is doing.

Before you condemn this kind of spending, first determine what these systems actually do.

You have a friend or relative in the military? Maybe a counter-sniper system might save a life or two.

And as a representative, Inouye is SUPPOSED to represent Hawaii's best interests. So when the really smart people at Oceanit has a very good idea, they'll go to their representative -- Inouye -- to push for it.

I met a couple of people at Oceanit. The things they're working on will absolutely blow your mind. National-class work at the very leading edge of technology. And in downtown Honolulu, no less. But without Inouye's support, do you think a Hawaii-based company will get much respect from ethno-centric types in the Mainland?
