I predict that no solution is possible to resolve this school furlough crisis. There are too many hypocritical people not willing to compromise and negotiate for the good of the community, too many union bosses each having his own agenda.

Toshio Chinen and Bradley Coates says it straight and true.

Right on.

This egregious, outrageous, short-changing of Hawaii's future leaders and their basic education, thinly disguised as "Furlough Fridays" is absolutely unbelievable and unconscionable.

For our elected officials, BOE, their DOE and the shameless 81% of the HSTA voting members to agree and collude in this, each looking the other way, deserves the full, unbridled wrath of the visiting US Court of Appeals Judge deciding the fate of our future leaders.

In the priority of things in life, the selfish, self-serving, egotists in elected office have now dropped down to last place.

Every elected official, from Lingle on down, deserves to be treated with outright hostility, derision and every form of disrespect allowed under the law, for allowing this to occur.

Leslie Vanberg!....You are perfectly right to right to fear "global warming".

Our solution is to raise taxes on the American Economy.

Some call it TAX and trade but they are non-believers and must be ignored.

Let me warn you of another coming disaster.

The man in the moon is planning an attack on Earth in the future.

If you allow us to raise your taxes even more, this coming threat can be avoided.

Please send as much dough as you can to Joe Biden 1900 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington D.C.

Only you and your money can stop this evil threat!

Don't Delay!

Act Now!

Hopey, Changey, xoxo Big Joe

You're like a mouse running on a wheel in a cage. That's the extent of your world. And now that someone took your wheel away and put in a smaller one, you're demanding they put the old one back so you can do what you did before.

I really don't care about your so called "data" of what teachers do or don't prefer. The only data I'm interested in is how much money the state is taking in and how it affects my pocketbook.

Because you're unionized, you're no better than any other union members. That's just the way it works so don't use the kids as hostages or inflate your importance. You leveled the playing field.

Snicker, snicker. It's nice to see that people like you think that writing smart a** letters somehow make themselves look more important. You just look like a 3rd grader who makes fun of everything he disagrees with. The only people who'll think that you're funny are the other sub-morons(but that's half the country, so I guess you'll have lots of company).

This current education crisis is not the fault of our legislators. Sure they sat by and let the unions make all the decsions. But the unions are the ones at fault They clearly, and repeatedly stated "If we hurt everyone's gonna hurt," and followed through with that. The teachers, legislators, and Lingle blindly went along with with whatever the unions wanted to do. So tell me, how much money has Randy Periera lost in all this?

"If politicians can't figure out any better solution than this dysfunctional approach, then they have no right to be re-elected."

Leslie my dear,
Most of the "American People" are on to the global warming hoax. We are now calling it "climate change" which is much easier to prove. We will soon be ramming Cap & Trade down your throats to get more money...er..I mean to prevent that.

"There should be one leader with authority to discuss many problems with the governor and all of the various union leaders, and their members should ultimately agree to abide by the decisions made. Enough is enough!
Toshio Chinen"

Yes that certainly worked well in Germany in the 30's and it was great for tourism in the country also, as many Americans came to visit in the early 1940's. They then had an extensive urban renewal program in the 50's.

I would hope once Chinen gave it a bit more thought that he might prefer the untidiness of democracy to the false certainties of a dictatorship.

Oh honey we don't worry about global warming in Alaska. My rooms are always kept comfy and cozy. Sometimes like the heat gets too high and we can't turn it down. Someone keeps telling me I need better control but I don't know what she's talking about.

Oh well. I fired her a-s-s- anyway.

Nancy!!!

Don't let the cat out of the bag like that!

You need some tips from Big Joe on what not to say and when not to say it.

Just tell the American People, that you will do for them, what Democrats did for the State of California.

Glad I could help.

P.S. Those Botox injections are making you look Marvelous Darling!

Changey, Hopey, yada yada yada, xoxo Big Joe.

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Virgo

If you've got an important task to accomplish, this is the time to do it. A Libra Moon ensures that you're level headed, focused and unmoved by the behaviour of others for the next day or so. Don't put any undue pressure on yourself, Virgo: if you don't get it right the first time, you know there'll be another chance. The pessimistic people that you are likely to encounter today need your logic and positive input.
