This is enough evidence to put him away for life...Don't just put in Oahu Prison, send him to a facility in the mainland where he will be hated for what he did to that innocent Tourist. Send him to one of our prisons here in Minnesota, where he can think of Warm 80 degree weather during our harsh Winter months of -0 degree temps for 3-4 months.....

The police officer said he'd "met him" several times in the past? I wish he'd explain in what capacity, such as a suspect in crimes, or socially? This case seems to be a slam-dunk , but I would like to see the girl's body show up so maybe a little torture could be overlooked. Too many missing girls in this state.

Let the Hawaiian brothers "work" him over a couple of days. Then he'll be "singing" to the police when its all over.

I hope the cops have more evidence then the fact that they have him buying a shovel at home depot. You need to find the body.

The case is adding up - Blood in the truck + glasses in the truck + busted windshield + digging a hole at midnight + buying tape, gloves, garbage bags, and a new shovel = GUILTY.

You can't run now Lankford. hey, look at the bright side. You'll get free food, free living quarters, room service. And that's too good for a mind like yours. I say "eye for an eye".

He is guilty but the judge in the case is one of many out here who are inept and cover up their lack of legal knowledge by forgiving all transgressions. Look for another very light sentence.

Lankford should cut his losses. I am sure the prosecution will cut him a deal if he tells where he buried Masumi. He should let the family have closure sorry *ss

The circumstantial evidence has him completely hemmed in. Problem is, he's already telegraphed his defense.
He's gonna claim he ran her over and it was an accident. Then he freaked out, went to bury her body and got caught in the act, so he threw it in the ocean instead (so he can't take police to the body).
By confessing that he killed her ("accidentally"), and then freaked out and disposed of the body, he will certainly be convicted but possibly on as little as involuntary manslaughter, and obstruction of justice for disposing of the body.
His lawyer is no dummy...

This F-n guy makes me sick to my stomach, it makes me wonder how many other people he killed, it was soooooo easy to do it to her, what makes anyone think this is his first killing? Anything less than 30 years and we will have a travesty of justice!!! He lucky we no more Death Penalty or else i would fry his okole!!!!
