My left eye became infected (pseudomanas) by a cataract operation gone bad and I lost sight in my left eye plus it deteriated so much that it turned blue surrounded by a red cast. After going to several eye doctors, I finally found one that made Sclerals (a large contact that is hand painted to match the other eye). My closest friends can't even remember which eye is the fake one because it looks so real and moves just like the good eye. Plus, my insurance paid for it.....

Our Family cannot possibly Thank the medical / prosthetic Team enough to express our infinite, humble and beholden gratitude to Dr. Tim, Doss, Kevin, and a private / silent benefactor, and their families (and surely Others helping behind the scene). Our exceptionally fine Neighbors, Dr. Tim McDevitt and his wife Candice, were central and primary in getting this wonderful gift Team together and coordinated over several months. I suspect that the benefactor had a role our Family is only vaguely aware of. Doss worked on hand painting the "glass" eyeball's amazing details for almost a month ...and Kevin did his amazing sculpting almost non-stop for the 3 days he came here from the Mainland for the exceptionally talented artistry on all the Team's part. Angels surrounding each of the Team's lives is apparant in each of the Team's Beings. Our Family has only begun to absorb and realize the grand scope of such a blessing of exceptionally fine People. THANK YOU far beyond our ability to express same.
Turner Family.

It took me this long to figure out that my computer's firewall was preventing my previous attempts to post our gratitude here. --- Aloha, D. Turner.

I lost my right eye early in childhood due to ROP - retinopathy of prematurity. I remember when Doss first started coming to Hawaii and how much better the prosthesis he made me was than the one I had previously, it truly changed my life and self confidence. God bless him and everyone who helped this young man, this is the true meaning of 'aloha'.

you can also get metal pins to hold the prosthesis in place but that means an other operation but it holds it in place without the worry of it falling out

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Aries

Take care today Aries, because the emotional landscape in your neighborhood will be full of pitfalls during the coming fortnight, as it has been since the Solar Eclipse on May 20. The more convinced you are that you're right, the harder it will be to navigate your way around forthcoming events. If you feel resentful of someone, perhaps a neighbor or sibling, you need to get your feelings out in the open, rather than burying them deeper, where they'll fester and lead to more problems in the long run.
