This shows the awesome power of caring, creativity, artistry, cooperative effort, trusting, etc. that humans are capable of! The other end of the scale...we seem to forget in the light of all the sordid news that appear about our fellow humans. What a wonderful group of
people featured in the article...adults and children alike!

God bless those who donated funds to help him. in Hawai'i some people do not care. They only care about themselves so it's refreshing to read when some people step up to help children of Hawai'i. Kudos to those people who care and blessings to all of them.

Dean's strength, and that of his family, are to be admired, and least we forget his donors. What insurance company was it that turned down the coverage of the procedure? I need to start a letter writing campaigne.

How sweet to see such a posititive story and such nice comments. What a courageous kid and what a pair of wonderful men. Never met Mr. Schou but Doss Tannehill I do know. Doss is an excellent human being as is Mr Schou. God Bless you all for creating such an uplifting and inspiring story. The news media need to do more of these kinds of stories, as they have such a positive affect on the community.

Right on!! Such an incredible story and Dean looks fabulous! It's so great to see what modern technology can do in such positive ways. The people who have developed this prosthetic artwork are to be thanked for what they give back to so many. I am in awe of their talents and commitment to helping these people like Dean.

So nice to read such uplifting stories and we pray for Dean's continued good health and happiness!

Even though I saw it was his right eye, I guessed it was his left in the photo. It was only when I looked really closely that I could see the outline of where the prosthesis ends.

Outstanding work, doctors. Looks like you've made Dean a very happy young man!

Daily Horoscope for February 11

Scorpio

It's a day for coasting rather than hitting things head on. There may be a lot going on around you but the best thing will be to stand back a bit and try to take it all in without doing too much. If you have a favourite creative pastime or spiritual practice, this is a good day to immerse yourself in it. If you don't have that kind of freedom then go with the flow and let the day take its natural course.
