This guy fits a pattern of a sexual assault predator. Wonder what else he has done here and in other areas. No doubt, he attempted to attack her and it went way wrong and this is all an effort to cover it up. Maybe he didn't start out to kill her but he sure started out to attack her and the result was a murder. His coverup screams "bull----". I hope the jury sees through it.

Carlisle then asked him, "If you had more time, you would have done better?"

"I would hope so," Lankford replied.

Game over, buddy. GAME OVER!!!

The more he speaks, the more he hangs himself. I can't believe a defense attorney can put up with all of this. "I would hope so." says it all.

This loser is nothing but a criminal in all aspects, twisting the system. He would lie, steal, and take a life without hesitating. He'll then turn around and sue everyone involved for harassment just for kicks.

Been following this story since day 1, stories DO NOT match. I hope the jury sees all that. He had no guilt, went about doing his daily routine like nothing happened, but, didn't cover his tracks good enough.

After a rather poor performance so far by Carlisle contributes to Lankford's acquittal (not to mention arcane rules of evidence preventing jurors from learning Lankford has had similar problems before), if the body is then found buried somewhere, can Lankford be retried based on lying about the circumstances of it's disposal?

Can we do something to sleaze attorneys when it's found they coached a defendant to lie on the stand?(Rhetorical question of course as so far none in Hawaii have been found to do that.)

How in the heck can someone as small Masumi open a truck door going 45 mph with a broken arm? Lankford stated that the reason the windshield was broken was from her arm.
Next he is going to say she was dong backflips on the roadway and jumped in front of his truck.
Mr. Carlisle pleas hang this sick idiot already!!!!

Wow so you're a psychoanalyst now eh? You can figure people out by reading one or two things about them in a newspaper? You must be really special.

"he fits the pattern of a sexual predator"

What pattern is that, exactly? It used to be that people didn't get labeled until they've been charged with something. Now you're labeling people a "sexual predator" who hasn't even been charged with a sexual crime?

Sounds to me like you're speaking about yourself.

So, Lankford was able to hold the victim in his arms while at the same time keeping his balance and kicking off his shoes and socks w/o using his hands?

I tell you what, any of you people go to 24 hr fitness and enter the free weights area.

Then find one of those 100 lb plates that bodybuilders use to do chest exercises.

Now, with that 100 lbs of weight in both of your arms, try and kick off your shoes and socks without losing your balance and without dropping the weight.

That's essentially what the defendant said he did, before disposing of her body at sea.

Gimme a break.....

Carlisle knows Lankford was coached by his lawyer to weave a story about what happend to the victim. This is obvious and it's also obvious to Carlisle, too. Of course, we all know Carlisle is doing this to bury Lankford, who deserves it.

It's standard procedure for defense lawyers to come up with "stories" for their clients regarding their alleged crimes. The point is to plant seeds of doubt for the jury and to get the lightest sentence possible for the defendant.

These stories can range from near denials to "I did so with a reason," which is currently used by Lankford because of the evidence and witness testimony against him. These fancy "stories" are why people shun lawyers but it's their job to help their clients so we have to accept it.

We all know Lankford did it and he even admitted to it. It's just you know he's downplaying the ferocity of his attacks against Matsumi and his story is meant to just excuse his sadistic behavior. May he get his just deserts while in prison.

Maybe you say? You want to defend his baseless accusation with a "maybe"?

In this country it is ILLEGAL to put in print-format (websites included) a LIE about someone that can be proven FALSE.

The facts are that he's not been charged with any sexual crime. So you can put your pitchfork and torch away.

Defending him is Mr. Wilkerson's job, not my own. I'm simply defending the fact that someone came on this forum and accused him of being a sexual predator when there is nothing here to suggest that he is one.

Don't you think if the Prosecuting Attorney had any evidence at all whatsoever to support a sex crime, that he would use the fullest extent of the law in charging him?

Since that hasn't been done, we can only conclude that there is no evidence of a sex crime. Therefore, we shouldn't be hearing pot shots and comments from idiots about how he's a sexual predator.

He may be a sick man, but let's keep it above the belt.

No Aloha, I remember reading that Lankford has a prior sex offense charge but the prosecution is prohibited from providing this information in this case. Also think it involved an Asian female.

Accidentally killing someone and trying to dispose of the body doesn't make sense if it really was an accident. You try to dispose of a body because you committed a crime. A caveman can understand that, hehe. Lankdord should come clean and be a man and take his punishment. He is a punk and a coward.
