It does not bring Ms. Watanabe back but I believe this predator would have continued had he not been caught. Good job by all involved in ending his "career."

Eh Wilkerson. You just as bad as your client trying to weasle out of an unwinnable situation. Think about the victim and the family instead of yourself. Its obvious you don't even care about your client. Stop trying to save your own okole at the expense of others you fool. Suck it up and accept de-feet.

They did not find his story credible ?
Shocking !
Now let's bring back the death penalty.
Liberals will say " lock him up forever, so he will never get out "
But you can be sure if he is not put to death he will walk the streets again someday, as sure as death and taxes some liberal judge or parole board will let him free someday.
The death penalty may or may not deter crime, but you will not have repeat offenders.

What scares me the most is that people (Lankford, Wilkerson) can sit there and LIE. You made up an entire story in the hopes of freeing such a coldblooded murderer and letting him back on the streets to terrorize more innocent victims! How can you live with yourselves? And to further accuse the media of being dishonest?? Mr. Wilkerson, you are a a hypocrite!

Face it. Your client is guilty as charged. Instead of accepting his responsibility, he tried to get out of it. He brought such a profound pain to the Watanabe family, it is time he started paying for it.

So Wilkerson accuses the media of the most dishonest reporting he has seen. Wilkerson - YOU are guilty of aiding and abetting the most dishonest accounting of a crime that the public has seen. Lankford's story is so transparent and lacking in credibility, with no supporting forensic evidence. How could YOU let your client take the stand and claim this ridiculous fabrication? YOU are one terrible defense attorney.

Its true this guy hung himself at every turn. his story was not credible. I dont know anyone who can go to church pray with family nwhile their is a poor dead wommen in the back of his truck. I think his defense lawyer did the best job he could with what he had. Its funny no matter how you try to hide the truth it always seems to find its way to the light

Great job well done to Carlisle, his team, and HPD for their hard work that finally paid off.

Nice try Wilkerson. You and your murdering client are from the same stock...cold blooded. You probably even sleep well at night.

The defense is prevented by law from claiming a defense they know to be false. All he has to go on is what Lankford tells him. Like it or not all defendants have the right to a defense and the attorney is required to give the most vigorous defense he can, but he cannot knowingly lie. I believe there was media bias but that's why jurors are not allowed to watch or read any news reports during the trial. If he has proof that the jury engaged in misconduct then say so, but don't blame the local media for the guilty verdicts. Wilkerson's outburst was just low class.

Oh brother! Just when I thought I've seen just about everything. A criminal defense attorney throws a tantrum on television. Losing a case and blaming everyone but himself and his client for the outcome. Even the village idiot saw so many holes in this guy's testimony. More holes than a slice of swiss cheese. Two thumbs up to the police, the Prosecution and the behind the scenes people who did a job well done! And my sincere condolences to the Watanabe family.

it's highly unlikely that lankford will fess up the location of the body unless he gets something substantial in return.. plus he's a psychopath.. but pain does refreshes one's memory real fast.. da boyz at halawa will refresh his memories..

Wilkerson is just doing his job. That's how this system is supposed to work. Everyone knows the media slants stories for their own gain. Everyone knows HPD lies on the witness stand to support the prosecution's case. I've seen it and been a victim of it.

But in this case, no matter how you look at it, evidence points to Lankford being guilty as hell.

Daily Horoscope for February 13

Gemini

This is a good time to take stock of your actions and the direction you're going in. Are your efforts getting you anywhere or leading you astray and scattering your energy? If you're putting in the work but not moving forward, you're not on track. The old adage 'cut your coat according to your cloth' is good advice. Be simple and purposeful and don't waste time with things that get no practical results.
