Murder is murder! Someone was killed the only question remains is how old will he be? Will he be old or very, very old!

Perhaps bringing back the aged ways is appropriate; reinstate the death penalty.

According to Lankford, supposedly he was driving 40 mph when Masumi jumped out. Driving 40 mph around that rising bend on Makana Road is difficult to reenact. Besides, there are speed bumps on that section of Makana Road. Check out the picture from the article and you will notice a speed bump next to the rock. Driving 40 mph on the bend on Makana Road with speed bumps?

Just like Pinnochio, Lankford's nose is getting longer and longer each time he and his shyster lawyer opens their mouths.

how convenient, if she actually jumped out of the truck wouldn't she had better chances of hitting the bigger yellow hydrant right next to the rocks?
maybe CSI sould examine the rocks and see if there is any signs of blood and /or DNA, it has been long but traces las for a long time too.

Because Masumi's body was never placed in the water.

I dont know exactly how Masumi died and it is looking like we never will.
As for Lankford his story would hold more credibility if He called 911 or lets say he was scared he would lose his job. So when he lost his job and was put in jail and accused of murder. If memory serves only a little while after Masumi was missing what took this guy a year to tell his story.......and looking for her house while driving 40mph come on I am so disgusted I hope that justice is done in this case and this guy bgoes away for ever

"I think it would be important for the (Honolulu police) to know that Mr. Lankford doesn't know where she's at," Wilkerson said.

Lankford is so full of it that it's not even funny. His lawyer's story is more full of holes than a mesh screen.

Say the story is true, if you hit someone while driving, the worst you would probably do is drive away from the scene out of fear of being caught. That's it. Then, you would be charged with failing to render aid, not murder.

You would not bury or try to hide the person's body. The fact that Langford admitted to doing this shows he's try to cover up criminal activity.

Let's hope the jury gives a GUILTY verdict to this murdered.

I suggest we tie a couple of aku heads around Lankfords waist and send him out during the same tide as on that day.Let's see then how long he lasts a couple of hundreds yards out.For one the water gets over your that far out.And two if the tide was changing it gets pretty hard to swim with coveralls on.Then there's the third and most difficult problem {Jack The Ripper}a humungous tiger shark who's the guardian of Chinaman's Hat.How do I know? I dive the area. With that much blood in the water Jack would have toyed with the body for a while. But then he would have most certainly have gone for any movement.I say we let him prove himself.Oh yeah we'll let him say a few prayers first because after that white man can jump.

This is probably what happened. The victim accepted a ride from the accused in his company truck. Instead of taking the victim home, the accused drove to a secluded area, parked the truck, pulled out a knife and tried to rape the victim. During the struggle in the truck the victim kicked and shattered the truck's windshield. But the accused continued to stab the victim until the struggle ceased.

I don't believe the accused was telling the court what actually happened.

I agree that Lankford is not telling the court what actually happened. Here is the likely scenario. Lankford abducted Masumi on Pupukea Road and dragged her into the driver's side door as she resisted. This is confirmed by Lisa Nakayama's testimony. Lankford then went to Makana Road, as confirmed by the GPS stop report and strangled Masumi to death. Lankford's scratch marks on both hands resulted from Masumi trying to pull Lankford's hands away as he choked her neck. The city's medical examiner confirmed the cuts on Lankford's hands as fresh scratch marks in her testimony.

Thanks for the scenario. With the evidence presented...this case is closed.
