GOP, Democrats Tussle Over Romney Call For No More Police, Teachers, Firefighters

Mr. Romney just doens't want America to end up as broken and bankrupt as California, Greece, or Spain. He won't just pander to unions in return for campaign support. Over promising bloated ranks of Bureaucrats kills jobs and opportunity for every one else.
That is a good thing, isn't it.

It just more DNC misinformation and stupidity. What Romney actually DID SAY was that we didn't need another stimulus package to add more firefighters and teachers to the government dole. We have plenty, and as with all Obama's stim. packages, when they end, they TEMP. JOBS are lost. No, we definitely do not need to borrow anymore money, go further in debt just to hire MORE government union workers who will pay dues into the Democratic coffers. Geeze, really, are you people really that stupid? All it would take would be a quick click on Google or whatever search engine you use to get the ENTIRE STATEMENT FROM MR. ROMNEY. Yet you all just take the lie, and THIS ADMINISTRATION is the King of Liars, and run with it. Now tell me, what sane person, running for public office BTW, would really say we don't need any firefighters or teachers? Really, Mr. Romney is not a stupid man, his remark will only work if taken COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTEXT. God, I worry for this country if so many of the left are really that stupid. Exactly, WI showed the U.S. that with just a few prudent measures union jobs could be saved, new hires could be made and costs cut enough to not only hire new teachers but to give the CHILDREN better equipment in school. People in America are waking up to the fact that they are being taxed up the wazoo to pay these greedy unionistas, who make more than the private sector does, has a lower unemployment rate than the private sector has and who DON'T PAY MUCH IF ANYTHING into their platinum benefits packages. Quite a deal, but we don't have to pay for it. If WI can do it, why do we need one more stimulus package? We don't, Obama just wants to grow the size of government, gov. union workers, paying dues into the Democratic Coffers. Now that IS a scam. Good Post Sam.

This is stupid. It is the State's responsibility to pay for Teachers, Fire and Police. Some States pay fair wages for an honest days work and retirement packages which are fair and reasonable in comparison to every one else.

Only the States where Democrats sold the citizens out to the public empl unions in return for campaign support are in a jam. Only the Loser States like California are leaving their children facing an extinction grade publ empl pension and benefit tsunami. Citizens in the other States wouldn't do that to their own children and grand children.

Public sector jobs rose due to the policies and spending of slick willie clinton, which trickled into Bush/Cheney terms. Bush warned of the coming disasters of fannie/freddie and other democrat pushed spending policies in 2001,2003 and 2005. Dodd/Frank blocked any attempts by Bush to get fannie/freddie under control. When the bubble finally burst: "It's Bush's fault!"
