Dial up internet

who has dial up internet as your only option and need some thing better

There isn't any options where I am from...Need a petition started to make verizon replace these old out dated lines everywhere in the area.. It has went on to long like this.

i called verizon for high speed and they said they didnt have it just dial up. i then called jetbroadband and now i have high speed.

verizon told me they do offer high speed internet but, you have to have fiber optic lines. If your lines are outdated it means you have no fiber optic lines and there is no way they can offer it to you just dial-up. jet broadband has it but if you live where there is no cable then you are still stuck with dial- up. Verizon doesn't offer high speed to areas that do not have fiber optic lines.. I have a friend that had high speed from Verizon.

yeah i see what you mean there. jetbroadband had just been in my area 6 weeks when i done away with direct tv and got jetbroadband. the last 2 yrs on high speed has been alot better than dial up. i been on it before so i no how slow it can be.

I waited on Verizon FOREVER to get highspeed in the area that I live in and finally gave up. I was so sick of dial up, it got old real fast. I moved and a friend let me know about VMMicro.NET . I found out that I could have gotten highspeed at my old residence. They have different packages and they are very affordable. Its not like you have to pay 80 bucks a month or anything. I think the starting package is like 40 bucks. so if you can contact them and let them know where you are, then Im sure they will help you in any way they can. Great people, Great customer service also. I was reading where you got jetbroadband could you tell me if its a satellite pleases.i will not get another satellite for internet hughes is so dirty so please everyone that reads this don't go to satellite be very aware of hughes net satelitte they are a big time rip off

I ended up getting alltel card for my computer worked a little faster than dial up but cost 80.00 a month with taxes included to use. would like to have something cheaper if I could find it at a good price 80.00 a month is high for internet but I had no choice wait 15 minutes for a page to load or the alltel card I called verizon also no luck as well. but if you dont get good cell service no use in a card for your computer.

i had jetbroadband though my tv cable no satlite. after my contact came up one year later the price went up on my tv cable. i have jetbroadband for my internt but not my tv cable. i pay 40.80 a month for my high speed internet.
