per year. Now take 30% away for state and federal tax; Joe Legal now has
$31,231.00.

Jose Illegal:$15.00 per hour x 40 hours =$600.00 per week, or
$31,200.00 per year. Jose Illegal pays no taxes. Jose Illegal now has
$31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays medical and dental insurance with limited coverage for
his family at $600.00 per month, or $7,200.00 per year. Joe Legal now
has $24,031.00..

Jose Illegal has full medical and dental coverage through the state and
local clinics at a cost of $0.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has
$31,200.00.

Joe Legal makes too much money and is not eligible for food stamps or
welfare. Joe Legal pays $500.00 per month for food, or $6,000.00 per
year. Joe Legal now has $18,031.00.

Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for food stamps
and welfare. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays rent of $1,200.00 per month, or $14,400.00 per year. Joe
Legal now has $9,631.00.

Jose Illegal receives a $500.00 per month federal rent subsidy. Jose
Illegal pays $500.00 per month, or $6,000.00 per year. Jose Illegal
still has $ 31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays $200.00 per month, or $2,400.00 for insurance. Joe Legal
now has $7,231.00.

Jose Illegal says, "We don't need no stinkin' insurance!" and still has

Joe Legal has to make his $7,231.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, etc.

Joe Legal's and Jose Illegal's children both attend the same school. Joe
Legal pays for his children's lunches while Jose Illegal's children get
a government sponsored lunch. Jose Illegal's children have an after
school ESL program. Joe Legal's children go home.

Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same police and fire services,
but Joe paid for them and Jose did not pay.

This is a wake up call for all you pro insurance companies that are robbing us blind. The abuse in our states medicare and medicaid system is overwhelming. Why work and pay for insurance? Everyone gets it for free so why stress and worry if you are not able to pay for it or don't have enough worked hours thru the union. I see it happen everyday and I am struggling with two jobs and a husband in the trades that has been laid off going into the second year. It's crap! And frankly I'm tired of stressing over paying for it when others get it for free!

30% tax for a family of four making $52K? Try that again. Federal tax is under 15 percent, and there would be a $11,400 standard deduction and $3,650 x 4 personal exemption for each person in the household. So the family's taxable income would be only $26,000, or half of their gross income. Federal tax on that amount is $3,065, or less than 6% of their gross income.

Add 7.65% for social security and medicare, and you're at less than 14%. I'm pretty sure that the state income tax in CA is not 16%, so your 30% figure is looking a bit overstated.

You could have made the point that Joe pays taxes and Jose doesn't, and left it at that. But you had to make up bogus numbers to exaggerate the effects. Typical right wing tactic - if the truth doesn't stir 'em up enough, make shit up.

having many family members work in hosptials (admitting, nurses, floor secretary, etc.) they see the abuse first hand and it is sickening and rampant.

If you can afford a cell phone, coach purse, fancy hair and nails, have cable at home (obvious because of the shows being talked about are only on dish or cable) you can and should buy yourself some insurance. But people consider this a right, not a responsibility, so they don't and we all pay for it...this is not right. If you think it is, explain why.

But heaven forbid we, as a society, acutally have an expectation that people accept some level of accounability. No, that's being a mean conservative!! B.S.

I don't mind one bit helping people who are in dire straits through no fautl of their own, but way too many abuse the system and nothing gets done about that. THAT, my liberal friends, is what is destroying this country and makes the average hardworking tax paying guy so pissed off.

The video talks about the amnesty bill that basically gives illegals a free pass on everything and citizens have to pay for it all. What happened to this bill?
