The group is made up of physicians from Hemet Community Medical Group, Kali Chaudhri's group in Hemet.

oh man. if Dr. Chaudhri in involved this means that he will tank this hospital, just like his group did to the rancho springs hospital. send me to the county hospital where I at least have a chance of survival.

I understand it will become "Private" and "For profit"...so where does that leave the uninsured or those without the right insurance type? Driving to County?

jeez, the way its set up the hospital can't afford to operate and it might as well be county because its a money pit. Nobody but illegal aliens with runny noses go to the ER now because they think its their personal doctors office. Oh, guess what? They never pay!

I don't quite understand...if the hospital is so "broke" why have they placed flat screen tv's in patient rooms, upgraded the flooring, and have hired big dollar managers when they are bankrupt? They seem to be short nurses at the bedside, call lights stay on, what gives?

The current hospital is broke and can't make payroll. A group of 130 local doctors (not just one) are willing to put 65 plus millions into the hospital. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't, but where are the other solutions? Name me another group willing to invest 65 million into our local hospital, save nearly 3,000 jobs, and keep our valley's hospital open and maybe I'll reconsider, but for now I vote yes on Measure P.

The same group of 65 doctors represent Hemet Community Medical Group. Which coincidentally, is the same group that put the hospital in the mess that it is currently in! No offers have been made to sell the hospital to Catholic Heath Systems West, Baptist Health Care Systems or the numerous other groups who have shown interest. If Robin Lowe is endorsing the sale, then it has to be questionable!

If CHSW and BHCS are interested then why haven't they voiced it? I haven't heard of other offers or either groups coming forth to protest the sale (besides minor protest from individuals). If they were so serious, you'd figure they would be more aggressive.

The question that nobody is asking me is "How much is this going to cost me?" Is this just a measure so that the hospital can be sold to doctors? Then let them buy it and lose all their investiment on the scum of the earth that treats the ER like a family doctor. Lets get rid of a hospital in the valley and deport all problems to county, then when they walk out the door, they are out of Hemet. If it doesn't cost me anything, I say do it!

Well, let's hope it doesn't cost you anything! The reality is that when you or your kids need emergency care the closest ER will be 30-35 minutes further down the road.

Emergencies, as you know, are never planned. People who suffer heart attacks, stroke, difficulty breathing, etc. will be the real losers. The elderly population is most likely to suffer. So, your solution is lacking on a couple of counts. I understand your frustrations, but we can come up with something better than what we have.

I predict that Measure P will win at the polls. Ultimately, I beleive that the hospital will fail and the ER will close anyway. We'll have to wait and see!

The board of Directors turned every interested party away. What can a competitor do at that point? We'll have to wait and see what happens.

Most of the physicians dont run their offices, their wives do, so does that mean they will run the hospital too? So much for a medical company that runs hospitals coming in and saving ours!

Lets just take the buildings and create "walk-up" public housing for all of the people that are in Hemet due to the fantanstic availability of welfare. Lets allow them to live in a high rise, rent free, just have the state and feds pay the doctors the section 8 money, so we turn our doctors into slum lords..but they get paid!

Generally speaking, most of Prem Reddy's Prime Care group of doctors plus Dr. Chakrabarty (HCMG) have not joined the PfHH group.

Generally speaking, most of Chaudhuri's Hemet Community Medical Group doctors have joined PfHH.

Hemet Community Medical Group (HCMG) comprises the major, foremost and original group of established Hemet doctors including specialists practicing in the community. This group became substantially more significant than the Prime Care Group and the other smaller doctor groups. The Prime Care group lacked specialists and was not able to land good contracts with insurers. Often patients in this group are under served by Prime Care, receiving substandard care due to poor insurance reimbursements.

I don't know about that, Ronald. My husband seems to run his medical office quite nicely for 30 years without my help!

The Board shouldn't even waste it's time when the "interested party" is a competitor the likes of Prem Reddy of Prime Care and disgruntled Hemet doctor, Chakrabarty.

Wrong. Hemet Community Medical Group did not sink the hospital Tom Broderick did, initially. Then Prem Reddy, Chakrabarty, Chuck Bolton, et al, put the hospital in the mess it's in by sabotaging and undermining Hemet Community Medical Group for a decade.
Robin Lowe fallout be a deciding factor.

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Aquarius

The atmosphere in the office is stressful. Learn to divide time in a planned and phased manner. Beware of starting a lot of new things but not having the time to finish any of them. Mental overload will burn your busy and chaotic schedules and health problems may crop up all of a sudden. If you party with friends this evening, don't make it too late.
