How is that backwards, the state cannot just revoke my right to drive without due process. Just like they cannot throw people in jail without due process.

Imagine how much better everyone would get around. How much gas would be saved. How many lives would be saved. How much more productive our economy would be. How much time each person would get back. How much less road rage there would be. How much less maintenance our cars would need (brakes especially). It is doable, but will probably never get any support because of the expense in the short term and the fact that businesses will be affected that benefit from cars being forced to stop, such as gas stations. Law suits would be endless.

In emergencies, the police could restart the car remotely. People will choose to protect their time and not run the red lights. No clogged courts; no excess fines. Yeah, let's take more control from the individual and give it to the state! What a dangerous road this is.

Red Light Cameras are making safe drivers extremely poor drivers- especially the elderly; if cities want to install cameras, they should make the Yellow lights longer than 4 seconds. Some intersections as you drive through on green, it turns to yellow and you exit on red. Bad drivers will always break the law but there should be some consideration for the rest.

Red Light Cameras live up to the name Highway Robbery. Does anybody know what kind of Camera are the ones being used in Broward, the camera has a small umbrella attached to it?

FYI every one its illegal for the city to issue you a traffic citation, you dont have to pay for the ticket !!!! if the city wants they can take you to small claims court for the citation cost.!!! the state of florida states there has to be a officer, some one to sign for it and that the actual driver of the car is issued the ticket.
