I sure the suspect wasn't white.

What does it matter what race the person is? You should feel sorry for the lady that it happen to. This is something that she has to live with for now on out and all you care about HMMM is what race the person is. Me being a raped victim, I hope they catch the person, because just like that lady, it could have been someone you cared about.

I pray that the guy that committed this horrendous crime be caught, and may personal pain and shame of an immeasurable extent befall the guy. People are just sick to derive pleasure in inflicting pain on a fellow human being. I believe that sex is only good, and should only happen when two adults give 100% consent! To all ladies out there, pls. call the cops next time you have flat tire in the night on a highway or an interstate. Better safe than sorry. May God heal the victim.

You even have to be careful about police since bad guys have scanners. Anyone remember the "Blue Light Rapist"???

A competent report would include the race, age, height, sex of the rapist. It is standard procedure to write this information in a security report and should be standard procedure to include this information in the news in case someone else has further information. Political correctness and stupidity hamstring weak willed editors and a public composed of sheeple.

I love all races. we all came from our father above,we serve the same god ,why does it matter?he loves us all, he doesn't see color ,why should we?

I am in complete disbelief that further information to enable not only the apprehension of a suspect, but the ability of other potential victims to protect themselves has not been made available. Any racial debate is in my opinion a waste of time. The object of concern is the victim, the assailant, and the protection of possible future victims.

A stupid stunt like that can get you killed or hurt even worst like having your face caved in. Besides, you don't have too much of a choice of anything to fight someone off with, on the side of the road. Besides self defense and survival classes teach you to cooperate with your attacker to a certain extent to prevent further injuries and then file charges. It's part of street survival and yes this is taught. Most rapist are so sick in the mind that the more you fight the rougher they get and it's a fun game to them.

I know what I am talking about from experience and have never taken any "self-defence" courses. But then again I am not a soft American who caves in when attacked!!! These "self-defence" and "survival" courses only train women to be soft when they talk about "cooperating with the attacker".

We should be concerned that once they catch this freak of nature they put him in prison and leave him there!! Americans need to start taking a strong stand against releasing rapists and pedophiles back into the community to rape and/or kill again! Women and children ARE important enough!!! I hope he goes to prison and suffers the same things that he did to her every day of the rest of his life!

that was my first thought, but the story said he came up from behind her as she was walking back to her car. I don't want to give the impression that it is her fault as it is in no way her fault, but it taught me never turn your back on someone.

They already have good solid leads on a suspect. They are quizzing the public no to verify who seen what. There are a lot of sick people out there that makes a game out of this by admitting they did it when they didn't or they seen someone they are mad at do the crime and so on. It's a bit early for them to release a whole lot because they don't want to have everyone pointing fingers at each other right now. I used to feel like you do about putting the information out there for public safety however once I became a cop and seen what it was like I became to understand a lot of why they do things the way do. Once everything is sorted out by this afternoon sometime there will be more availlable.

I would like to think if it happened to me, that I would fight back with everything I have, even if it got me killed.(I can't say what I would actually do til I am put in the situation.) At least they could scrape DNA out from under my dead fingernails. I sure ain't gonna start cooperating and say here let me help you with my pants.

I have taken self-defense course as well as taekwondo and none have ever told me to cooperate with an attacker.

Have we gotten so gunshy you can't even give a description so other women could possibly be saved by knowing what this guy looks like?
