HuffPost has comprehensive coverage of the Tax Day Tea Party protests. Click here for the latest photos and video.
AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas Gov. Rick Perry fired up an anti-tax "tea party" Wednesday with his stance against the federal government and for states' rights as some in his U.S. flag-waving audience shouted, "Secede!" An animated Perry told the crowd at Austin City Hall -- one of three tea parties he was attending across the state -- that officials in Washington have abandoned the country's founding principles of limited government. He said the federal government is strangling Americans with taxation, spending and debt. Perry repeated his running theme that Texas' economy is in relatively good shape compared with other states and with the "federal budget mess." Many in the crowd held signs deriding President Barack Obama and the $786 billion federal economic stimulus package. Perry called his supporters patriots. Later, answering news reporters' questions, Perry suggested Texans might at some point get so fed up they would want to secede from the union, though he said he sees no reason why Texas should do that. "There's a lot of different scenarios," Perry said. "We've got a great union. There's absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, you know, who knows what might come out of that. But Texas is a very unique place, and we're a pretty independent lot to boot." |

Subject: Obama Takes First Step in Banning All Firearms
On Wednesday Obama Took the First Major Step in a Plan to Ban All Firearms in the United States On Wednesday the Obama administration took its first major step in a plan to ban all firearms in the United States. The Obama administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms. The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is telling the truth? What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment. This is not a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government health care will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever means necessary, so will gun control |

At [the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference in] Copenhagen, this December, weeks away, a treaty will be signed. Your president will sign it. Most of the third world countries will sign it, because they think they’re going to get money out of it. Most of the left-wing regime from the European Union will rubber stamp it. Virtually nobody won’t sign it.
I read that treaty. And what it says is this, that a world government is going to be created. The word “government” actually appears as the first of three purposes of the new entity. The second purpose is the transfer of wealth from the countries of the West to third world countries, in satisfication of what is called, coyly,“climate debt”– because we’ve been burning CO2 and they haven’t. We’ve been screwing up the climate and they haven’t. And the third purpose of this new entity, this government, is enforcement. How many of you think that the word “election” or “democracy” or “vote” or “ballot” occurs anywhere in the 200 pages of that treaty? Quite right, it doesn’t appear once. So, at last, the communists who piled out of the Berlin Wall and into the environmental movement, who took over Greenpeace so that my friends who funded it left within a year, because [the communists] captured it – Now the apotheosis as at hand. They are about to impose a communist world government on the world. You have a president who has very strong sympathies with that point of view. He’s going to sign it. He’ll sign anything. He’s a Nobel Peace Prize [winner]; of course he’ll sign |

Obama's Run for the Illinois State Senate was Launched by a Fundraiser Organized at Bill Ayers' and Bernardine Dorhn's Chicago Home - Ayers and Dorhn are former terrorists from the Weather Underground who's SDS organization received financial contributions from the CPUSA. "Obama's run for the Illinois state Senate was launched by a fundraiser organized at Ayers' and Dorhn's Chicago home by Alice Palmer. Palmer had named Obama to succeed her in the state Senate in 1995, when she decided to run for a U.S. congressional seat."

Makes sense, Obama has made more trips abroad in his year than most presidents do their entire term.

Do you have sources for anything? Can we know whether this came from you or an obvious biased blog?

The first anti-pasta post is cited, the following 3 are not, so it is not clear if that is personal opinion or a repost.
This is a poor posting style, mostly because of the four shotgun posts, the later three having nothing to do with the subject. Too bad, this just gives foder to the "I worship Obama" crowd. AP, your hatred for this man is blinding you and giving creditability to those who want to destroy this country. Obama is not the issue, it is those who support the entitlement mindset, who gather around Obama. I say, start the thread over with just the Huffington post story. Put a link up. Seceding from the union is the ultimate recourse, and from what I am seeing, it may very well need to happen. |

It appears to me that individual states are taking a stand against Obama's socialism.
9+ States have now declared sovereignty, now add Washington to the list. In case you didn’t hear about it on the mainstream media (which you haven’t because they want to keep us asleep), numerous states are currently declaring or have already declared sovereignty, including: Washington http://apps.leg.wa.gov/billinfo/summary.aspx... New Hampshire http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/legislation/2... Arizona http://www.azleg.gov/FormatDocument.asp... Montana http://data.opi.mt.gov/bills/2009/billhtml/HB... Michigan http://legislature.mi.gov/doc.aspx... Missouri http://www.house.mo.gov/content.aspx... Oklahoma http://axiomamuse.wordpress.com/2009/01/07/st... California http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/pub/93-94/bill/sen/... Georgia http://www.legis.state.ga.us/legis/1995_96/le... Possibly: Colorado, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Montana, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Alaska, Kansas, Alabama, Nevada, Maine, Illinois. It is interesting to note that Arizona explicitly speaks about continuity of government and the role of servicemen. “…if the President or any other federal entity attempts to institute martial law or its equivalent without an official declaration in one or more of the states without the consent of that state … individual members of the military return to their respective states and report to the Governor until a new President is elected…” Full text: http://www.azleg.gov/FormatDocument.asp... “The Tenth Amendment was intended to confirm the understanding of the people at the time the Constitution was adopted, that powers not granted to the United States were reserved to the States or to the people. It added nothing to the instrument as originally ratified.”— United States v. Sprague, 282 U.S. 716, 733 |

At some point the liberals (here) will need to admit it's not "fear mongering".
at some point the liberals (here) will have to admit their savior is destroying this county. And finally, the liberals (here) will have to admit they knew it all along and supported this coup from the beginning. the source is irrelevant the content is not. Input the keywords into goggle, and take your pick, thats the point of not listing the source. Galt..shutup, no one cares how smart you think you are. Who is john galt?, goggle that too if you want |

Galt, don't shut up. Keep writing. That's what forums are all about.

Good post "readyornot". I follow this group:

It is not a matter of how smart I think I am, what matters is how smart people think you are. I happen to agree with your first post, your subject title, but when you flood people with irrelevant off topic information, as you did in the 3 following posts, they shut down. I've been there, done that. I've done community and political organization and a concise message is important. If you come off as a rambling nutcase, you'll get little to no traction. I also think babbling about "libels" is anti-productive as well. The founding fathers where liberals in their day. What we have in our political system is corporate statism/facism, you just get to chose the flavor you want, Bush or Obama. The Bush flavor may not have killed us as quickly as the Obama, but it still doomed the nation. "left" and "right" is just smoke and mirrors. Reagan said it best, as I recently quoted, his words just as true today as they where in 1964. http://www.youtube.com/watch... |
||||
All anyone asked for is a link, ya know, a source. Because honestly this sounds like a lot of stretching I'd expect you to ask for one too if i claimed something about someone you listened to |
||||
Well then links and sources shouldn't be an issue, because they must have the link to the place they got the facts eh? |
||||
then prove it wrong - it's just that simple. if it's opinion - that's hard to prove wrong - facts on the otherhand..... but go ahead and be lazy... yeah Bonds/Ian we all know how you feel about me - give it a rest... |
||||
And if I had to spend a couple minutes writing a reply, vs. spending 30 seconds on google running down the news story: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/15/gov-... I'd do the later. No excuse for the sloppy style from AP, but come on. Lets not just whine for the sack of whining. |
