Adult bookstore remains open despite court order

if it was a bio-ginder bookstore .and or hang out im shure that would be fine in spencer county..

It seems to me thaat the majority has ruled, right? It's their community, so why should thaey have to put up with that kind of trash? They shopuld just leave. Forget about your "constitutional right" I'm pretty sure you do not have a right to spread filth!

THe judge ordered it closed.. Can't the county sheriff just padlock the doors and arrest anyone on site?

The ordnance was illegal that is why know one is paying attention to it. The judge was wrong. An ordnance can not be allowed to target a specific store.

No one has to put up with anything. If you don't like porn don't go to a porn shop. How simple is that?

How about an agreement, I will not be offended if a town wants to be Christian themed if they let me buy porn and watch pretty girls miles away in another town.

Evidently the customers of the business and the owners of the property disagree its the best spot to put the store. Drop the kid off at the water park and go have some fun. If it wasn't then they would have closed down due to lack of business.

Comparing an adult bookstore to a Christian bookstore or any other kind of bookstores is ludicrous. In any adult bookstore you'll find illegal unprotected sex between complete strangers. Just ask Pee Wee Herman if its legal or not. This is dangerous sex that is a major cause of the spread of STD - VD - AIDS/HIV. If they donate their infected blood then they can infect anyone receiving it. Ask any blood bank tainted blood can get through especially if the donor just recently got infected. Beyond the safety health issue is also property value. Just ask any realtor what an adult bookstore does for the value of the homes near it or even in the same town. Same goes with stores. Business drops off near an adult bookstore. Family shoppers stear clear of any locations near a bookstore. Some won't even drive past one. Most towns that allow one adult bookstore soon will find another such bookstore coming in. Getting rid of them is hard. Local police and politicians are usually paid off or don't have the backbone to do anything. The best chance of getting rid of them are STATE LAWS that can restrict them to such a level as to drive them out. But state level politicians won't bother unless concern citizens start letting them know how they feel. That's your only real hope of driving them out.
