Grumbling, being upset, even approaching the SBDM council will do absolutely no good for the football team. The best Larue County can hope for is that support, come to a complete STOP. Keep your money, stop allowing them to have your money to do what they want with it. Year after year they lie to parents having them believe their child has just as much opprotunity as the other players, when in truth it is the children of someone who can grease the wheels in their personnal lives. This type of political tyranny has been alive in LC forever, most of the people involved today were raised to believe in their abilities to abuse the community and misuse their station in the community. Personal gain, is all any of them have on their mind. Stop to consider they work for the school system and they do not have priorities, morals, ethics, of their own. They are merely puppets on the string of a state and sometimes federal run organization. I no longer give monetary support in any way to Larue County Sports. The root of its directors are corrupt. Will share more of my views later.

The statement that irratates me the most is when i hear, one of the Larue County Coaches, quoted in a newspaper saying. "We are a small school, and we do not have the reserve on the bench that larger schools have." This statement is a lie. Larue County High School has plenty of reserve, but as they are ignored, mistreated, and quite frankly stripped of honest open opprotunity, for example...

Alex Lee is an awesome player. His quality should be utilized with any and all LCHS boys that want to aspire to achieve skills at his level. Won't happen LCHS coaching staff is too busy making him think he is a football god, rather than a young man with a talent, a God given talent that should be shared with his peers. Sorry, Alex, but yes you do make a fine example. The racy example the one that could cause more trouble than clear up anything is Christian Mullins. Come on LC, his play time is based on who his daddy is, not by what he can accomplish. Let's take a minute and reflect on a so called "lc football hero" anyone remember "RAFE" hello, this dude can get football scholarship to any school in ky, but what about class?? he cant cut it. Western>> failed
JCC>>> failing. So, my point is this. Not only does this politically arranged roster cause animosity between the students and families in the community, Said animosity does carry over into their adult lives, when they realize FOOTBALL aint everything. Good Luck, LCHS Football, hopefully you will get hit in the head just right to open your eyes.

Who cares if you give your money???? The program will go on. A lot of these kids are missing a lot of things like loyalty and character. That is a reflection on parents. If an under classman is better, works harder, and produces more then he deserves to play. Regardless, a team should stick together and be a team and shame on you nessa for pretending to be innocent and then call on Jesus! What a mess!!! If parents would stay out of it kids could work it out.

Victor
I do not disagree with young men working hard and getting the chance and opprotunity to do for their school and community what they are capable of doing. My arguement steams from the fact that only certain select get to do that. All should throughout the year get to share their talents, thats what makes them a team. Victor get a clue!! Stop blaming parents for high school teenagers behavior. I do not blame school teachers or coaches for the teenagers behaviors. These adults are in positions that require a little more commitment than to brush everything off as "parental reflection". I am not familiar with the Nessa Love situation, but it would be a sad day if their was an unresolved difference between her and any member of LCHS sports. No one in this county including the coaches, have volunteered more of their LIFE to LCHS sports than Nessa Love. I would not do the things she has done for a community that so easily "cuts the throat" of its own.

You said if parents would stay out of it, kids could work it out. In this statement you confuse me as a parent. Do you want me to be involved with my child or do you want me to just let some dumb coach do it????

A truely gifted athlete should spend just as much time working with other teammates as he or she does playing the game. Leadership is something needed by all, cities, counties, states, and nations. We are not exempt, neither are the Larue County High School Coaching gods.

Very, Very well spoken and agreed with!!!

I have been to the games and watched countless kids who want the opportunity and could do waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy better get shunned. AND IF as I read in another post on here the players did vie for position, it would be a whole different team. A winning one perhaps? No, someone will get on here and tell you the same ole story of how they really scrutinize these kids and their grades and drug test. A winning team? Have you been to a game? Check their record. Where is your coaching resume? Post it on here so we can see your experience and check you out!!! They are a winning team with their only losses coming from 2 large 6A schools. Parents should raise their kids right. That is your job but stop trying to resolve conflict for them by only making it worse through your own selfish motives. Stop CAUSING the conflict!!!!

selfish motives.

that is exactly what this forum is about isnt it??
the coaches and priviledged students allowed to roster push that others with the desire to aspire are being selfish to desire that.

while the "others" are just being selfish to desire to play, knowing full well that they posses no talent and can't win?????

Victor, you are not making sense when you contradict yourself so. One minute you want me to be an involved parent and parent my child, yet you believe you posses the material/process for me to parent my child with. That would not be "me "parenting the child, in effect it would be you parenting the child through me, and that is something that will not ever happen. You seem to be the type of person that believes your way is the only way. Didn't the fall of the Roman Empire teach you anything?? Didn't the fall of Cleopatra, Persia, and other ancient societies teach you anything??? I personally could care less if Larue County High School Varsity Football ever wins another game. I am more focused on them being a unit, a team, a support based unit that excepts its strengths, weaknesses, and allows all to define them as the whole that they are. I am not interested in Coaches picking who they like and attempting to utilize 5th graders in varsity golf. Dawson is not that good, but yea he sure plays on the varsity team does he not?? Politics do play important rolls in college and in NFL ball. Quess what, this isn't college nor NFL ball. I do not need a coaching resume to properly lead a team into social growth and unity. Victor I would like to suggest to you a movie. "Facing the Giants". Put the religious attributes aside for a moment and look at how these children become each others best support system. You see Victor, the children themselves aren't doing wrong, they are being lead wrong. Leadership is a quality, unpossesed by LCHS staff and faculty, hence, they are unable to provide, promote, and stimulate it.

My ways are the only ways that are right? Heard that old saying, "The pot calling the kettle black"? Is your beef with golf, football, or every coach of every sport? Not as always is the case but there are times that much younger kids will possess abilities that older kids just don't have. Agreed that at times, some young kids are given more opportunities becasue of a coach being biased but you cannot put all cases into one situation. That shoe doesn't always fit and yes, there are parents who are more concerned with critiziing and being a part of a bigger problem than the solution. There are numerous kids in sports at Larue who are honor students and exemplify great character as well as Christian role models. And there are those who don't get that from home or anywhere. I would rather be a part of the solution and be positive. Your choice is your choice. Hope it makes you happy. You don't sound very happy.

you merely scratched a surface with your arguement. Yes, I believe that the problem is "deep rooted" into the Larue County way of coaching. I believe the biggest problem is Mr. Dawson himself. I witnessed him curse and physically strike his young athlete during a baseball game over the summer. Yes, he did apologize to the onlookers in the bleachers, but Im more concerned to know if he apologized to his son????

Something else I noticed concerning this Athletic Director, tho his son does posses excellent skills at the plate pitching, there were numerous others on this team that possed exceptional skills as well. With the coach being this young man's father you would expect to see the mound being shared, not monopolized. I use the word monopolized strongly. You and I both know that youth baseball teams are formed through draft. Why then would this Athletic Director choose many talented pitchers and only utilize one??? Low and behold the one is his son?? You are correct saying that this isnt always the case, but in Larue County it is the case more often than not. A very ugly, and tainted reputation, but if the shoe does fit, why are they so ashamed of there actions????
