I just wanted to say that I usually don't say stuff like I posted yesterday. Looking at it again, I see that I just stooped to the same level as them, which was of course not my intent. I apologize for that.
I have had a little contact with Jimmy over the years, and found him to be a pretty nice and harmless guy. Once on here someone posted about trying to get an orange jacket for him to wear so he didn't get hit by their car as they drove past him every morning on their way to work. There were some good posts, but then there were the posters like those above that said some not so nice stuff about him, or posted harmful things that had nothing to do with the subject. I don't even want to go into what some people said about that poor officer that just died. I mean, I was actually SHOCKED at some of the things posted about him, and I am a VERY, VERY, jaded type of person.
Everyone that dies is SOMEONE'S brother, sister, Mom , Dad, Aunt, etc. I just really wish that people would respect that and not say things that might hurt the family and friends of the person that passed. Call me idealistic in that respect, but that's my wish anyway. If nothing else, maybe if the type of people that post things like that would just look in the mirror before they post and ask themselves if they would want to hear what they are about to write about one of THEIR family members.
I don't claim to be guilt free, by any means. I am a sinner. However, I do try to recognize and acknowledge my bad actions and do my best to make up for them. which for me personallly is through apology and prayer.
Once it's on Topix or Facebook, it's there to stay, and will be for years and years and years. As long as there's an internet, it will be there. Please try to remember that, if for no other reason than for the sake of your own souls. That's what I'm going to try to do anyway.

Rest in Peace Jimmy.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the people that loved you.
Well said!

Sorry to hear that it was the Jimmy that I thought it was. We talked some and I always saw him in town. He was always pleasant to me. He will definitely be missed. I hope that no one harmed him. If so, I hope they are caught soon.

I apologize in advance for calling your post out. My post is in no way pointing a finger at you or singling you out. As I read your post I heard and felt how he was open and kind to you. Were you ever kind to him? Other than gracing him with your conversation in passing? Mine is a rhetorical post. It is asking all of Larue County to be silent. Tender situations such as this one can cause way too much chaos between neighbors. I would challenge the local churches to see to it that he did have a proper funeral/burial. Someone take it upon themselves to call these church heads and post the funeral information. God Bless you LC you really need it.

Why would a local church need to see to his funeral? He has a family. Did you think he was homeless?

jimmy was murdered and i just know it. hodgenville law inforcement are pathetic they always try to cover everything up they would rather let someone by with murder then to catch them and make this town look bad. EVERYTHING IS AN ACCIDENT IN THIS TOWN. its rediculous. they need to investigate further is my opinion. Bobby Shoffner and the rest of the gang dont do nothing but sit on their asses in situations like this. but let it be HIM floating in that pond and all hell would break loose there would be investigations out the wazzoo.

OF COURSE I was kind to him as so where others I know. It was not all lip service either. I think all posts here should show respect to the deceased. That is what I Am doing and will continue to. People are making there own chaos.. I am, nor or there any others inciting it. He does have a family and it is my understanding that the funeral will be out of the area. I have friends that have collected money for the family..should they need help. It is all done out of caring and respect. Real caring!!

It shouldn't take weeks to determine if the man accidentally drowned or was murdered by blunt force trauma, shot, stabbed, choked or whatever. The only thing it should take a little time on is toxicology test but not weeks. Reason I say that was because My father died mysteriously in 97 and within 5 days we had the toxicology results, and all other results to determine his exact cause of death. We have advanced since 97, so I can't imagine it taking that long. Besides they have already returned the body to be buried, what else could they be doing besides toxicology since there is no body left to inspect? I am not an expert so that is why I am asking.. maybe you know more about this stuff because I am clueless as to why it is taking so long.

A report from one of his family members stated that he was found with his hands bound behind his back and his mouth was bound shut too.. But you know how rumors are. False information even comes from family sometimes who just speculate. I really hope they release the exact cause of death soon. I hate that he is gone and if someone is responsible then I hope and pray that they are agressively investigating while the public waits for an answer.

im no expert either im just going by the 1s i had dealt with in the past as in family members. but not knowin the causing of death for sure and the way the body was found they maybe lookin for more then we will ever know.

i heard the samething but i was also told by ppl who was there at the seen said none of that was true. to be honest i dont think the public will ever know the whole truth. our small lil town is no longer safe even with locked doors!!!

that Mayer Cruse and The Sheriff are keeping it under wraps because of Lincoln Days if it was public that a murder had taken place, some people may change thier mind about attending Lincoln Days. I believe there is more to this story and you are right the truth will never be told.
