Her mom ought to be charged, not the sister. Who do you think is responsible for the gun being in the house? She's an idiot.

Sweetie, your friend's mom brought a loaded gun into a house where there were children who were not told that guns are dangerous. Yeah, she's an idiot. She's responsible for the death of her own daughter.

This was a horrible tragedy. Yes the mother should have educated her children on the dangers of guns if she was going to have one in the home, but now is not the time to be calling her an idiot. She and her entire family are grieving and must deal with the tragic loss of the child and dont need people pointing out the obvious fact that this could have been avoided.

Too bad, really. When crap like this happens and the family is "media-ized", they become public property. That's life.

Fine if you want to claim them to be "public property" then you should act in a mature manner and not resort to childish name calling. Have compassion for a family in a hard time. How would you like it if something horrible happened in your life and perfect strangers were passing judgment on you and calling you childish names. Judge not least ye be judged. She will answer for her mistakes on judgment day just as you and I will.

Tell you what, slick. Since you're so eager to ignore what a dope this woman was, you be compassionate to your heart's content. I'll continue to judge her idiocy for what it is, and lucky her, she'll get to remember it every day for the rest of her life. Anything I say about her will pale in comparison to how she will punish herself. And deservedly so.
