I bought my dog from David Moore in 2004. One - it wasn't the dog I was promised (said that dog had been shipped elsewhere and the family had fallen in love with it) and two - sthe dog I received was very sick and almost died from severe Pneumonia. I spent $1400 on her and over $1300 getting her better - when the chances were very slim that she would make it.
I am so thankful she made it through, she is definitely a fighter, but what this man does is unacceptable. Like the others - he complaint to the Texas State Attorney General. Not only did I suffer financially, but the emotional hardship of seeing a puppy struggle to breath is uncomprehensible. It's horrible. If anyone files a class actions uit against this guy - let me know! |

Our family brought 3 dogs in Spring of 2005. All were sick and one died. We are involved in a lawsuit with them. We still have never gotten papers. Ours were King Charles Cavaliers and we spent $5700. on them. Plus more than $6000. on medical expenses and more on attorney fees. We had worked out a a settlment with them and now they are back to giving us the run around on getting our papers and the dogs they were giving us to replace our loss. Their lawyer told ours today that they had bred the female and she couldn't leave her litter for 2 weeks. We have a sale document with them dated August 2006 so they bred our dog. She had a litter born in July 2006 so I guess he turned around and bred her right away.. the jerk. He is a liar and a cheat. We need to put him out of business and send him back to Ireland. We were there Monday and Wednesday of this week to pick up our dogs and papers. I think he is filing bankruptcy. Please feel free to email me at walshak@gvtc.com. I am trying to get as much on him as possible. And I intend to follow up with all news media and the Irish Kennel Club. He broke my heart several times!!! |

I purchased a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel from Mr. Moore in June of 2003 for $1,200. When I picked him up from the airport he was tiny, shivering and scared to death. He stated throwing up immediately and he weighed 6 lbs. He was hospitalized the day after I got him and was diagnosed with a bacterial infection and worms. He survived several other illnesses shortly thereafter -- to the tune of over $5,000 -- and is the most wonderful dog in the world. But, when I tried to contact Mr. Moore about the dogs illnesses he never got back to me. The guy's dogs should all be taken away from, given to loving families and he should be shut down!!!

I bought a dog from him last year that died a week after purchase from pneumonia. I spent $1500 plus the airfare and another $2000 in vet bills trying to nurse him to heath. The saddest part of the entire experience was watching the puppy die. David sent another puppy, but I was told to pay airfare, which I refused to pay since I paid so much in vet bills. I am so sorry this has happened to you all, but I plan to purchase my next puppy from a reputable breeder. Thanks.

Just amazing that this guy gets away with this for so long....we need stronger legislation against creeps like that.

I bought Junior, my first dog, from David Moore. He's a wonderful, now healthy dog. But I would never do that again. I just got my second Cavalier from a WONDERFUL organization called Lucky Star Cavalier Rescue -- they rescue Cavaliers from the puppy mills -- they seem to be mostly from Amish farms in Ohio. Anyone interested in one of these wonderful dogs should check out the website. Every little bit we do will help put the mills out of business and end the suffering of these dogs!

I must say that most of you all seem very ignorant!!! You would think that people with educations could figure things out by doing research of their own...like I did. David Moore has been nothing but good to me and the friends that I have referred to him. A friend that had gotten a dog from him years ago, referred me and I could not be happier. It is a same that only the negetives come to the surface and that the negetives are so easy to believe. You all should be the ones who are ashamed for believing the scrupulous media. You might want to investigate Diane, the lady that has put him in the news and on Inside Edition. She needs to be investigated by the IRS. She was making false sales for years. Selling pedigree dogs (pets) as Breeders...which means she collected a ton of money, but only send the pet price to Mr. Moore. If you all did a little research you might learn what is under all the smoke screens she has built up.

Apparently you are the ignorant one. I have never responded to an Internet blog or posted my opinion on one of these sites until I read your response. Oh, don't tell me.......you are one of the people who believe the Jewish Holocaust never happened.....or you are David Moore or the one armed bandit from Brushy Creek. If all of the victims nation wide (myself included) would have been heard sooner (or had been informed sooner) there would have been a lot less heart break caused by this ruthless, "unscrupulous", cowardly bastard. He admitted on the Houston news he had sick puppies and shot dogs he could not sell. Stealing from one's wallet is very bad but robbing their emotions is even worse. It is quite obvious David's sole purpose of running Brushy Creek Kennels is to rob people of their money and their emotions by selling poor, sick and helpless creatures to people wanting to invest in a wonderful friend and pet. There are still many lawsuits waiting in the corridors and I hope he goes down screaming just like God's little creatures he tormented and over bred and treated so inhumanely. He is no better than a child molester or abuser who robs his victims of a life and innocence. By the way, speaking of educated, you called the media "scrupulous": Websters definition of scrupulous is as follows: 1: having moral integrity : acting in strict regard for what is considered right or proper 2 : punctiliously exact : PAINSTAKING <working with scrupulous care> synonym see UPRIGHT , CAREFUL |

Please go to Google and look up Brushy Creek Kennels. You will find many victims just like we were. There is one site called YorkieTalk, I believe. You will find it if you Google Brushy Creek Kennels. If not, let me know and I will send you a number of links, including YorkieTalk, where you will be able to be in contact with other victims and attorneys who are involved in cases against David Moore. |

We bought our adorable little Yorkie in December 2006. From the time we brought her home she was at the Vet almost every week. She eventually had to go to the Emergency Room. She spent two days there and then died. I called and spoke to David and he said there really wasn't anything he could do. From the very first visit, I tried calling and leaving messages about how sick she was. He is a crook. We spent over $3,500 in Vet bills and our puppy only lived with us for one month. I hope he sleeps well.

I know for a fact he sells sick dogs, and tells lies to customers. I am ashamed to say that I helped at his facility for a while, I have seen some very very sad sights. I am so glad that at last he is getting what he deserves.

Hello everyone,
This is absolutely terrible! I had no idea that this was happening behind the scenes at Brushy Creek. I got my West Highland White Terrier from them and I had a really great experience dealing with the people there. I've had no medical problems, actually, haven't had any problems at all with my pup. Has anyone here actually gone to the kennel and picked up their puppy before paying in full? That's what I did, so I don't know if that makes a difference. Also, what has happened to them? I know Brushy Creek has been sued, so are they done permanently? Does the purchase agreement still apply if they are no longer in business? Thanks to anyone who will answer my questions!:) |

Davis Moore has been selling sick dogs for years. He has sold so many breeds that people can't keep up. I know of four people in Houston alone that bought from his kennel and spent thousands to save their dogs. He is now hiding behind a relative in Dallas who is helping him breed and using puppy brokers for his sales in Houston and other cities. His studs and bitches are abused and neglected. They are left in pens for years to just keep producing. I have seen this. They eat horse poop for food and the disease is everywhere. The dog I got in 2003 had five different diseases and barely made it. My friends dog from him died. So, if any of you got lucky and got a healthy dog from him, it is rare. He should be in prison for animal abuse. He will always find a means to sell the dogs until the law stops him. Our laws do not protect the animals, they can't if the abuse is left to continue on. Brushy Creek has lied and cheated people for years and I was one of them. I have had to live with the fact that I have helped support the abuse of these animals by buying one of his dogs.

I bought a coton from David Moore in December. Just like someone else posted I was sent the wrong puppy. When i brought it home the puppy wouldn't eat and kept throwing up the water it drank all night. I took him to the vet the next afternoon because it was still throwing up. The puppy had parvo. We couldn't return the puppy because the vet couldn't release it due to the illness. We had to put him to sleep and now. David won't answer the phone and the website (www.cotoncity.com ) is now down. What a piece of trash

I purchased a Cavalier King Charles puppy from David for a Xmas present for my daughter, 2005. When I first called, he promised me a Ruby. got out there the day before Xmas and he had sold that one. I chose a black and tan male, precious. he gave me a "discount" because he'd gotten rid of the one he promised me. We had our dog a week before he came down with pneumonia, deathly ill. After many vet bills, our dog is now fine and a great pet. I had no idea David had sold so many sick dogs. I tried calling him for ages to let him know how sick our dog had become. He told us our puppy just got off the plane from Ireland and had shots, etc. Sure....

Our Vet alone has seen a dozen dogs from Brushy Creek in the past couple of years. We are in Houston. Some have made it and some did not. It is very sad to watch people who have a new puppy try to save it when it should have been a wonderful time brining a new dog home. The people spend thousands. Some of the dogs that live have problems over a life time or a shorter life. Beware this man from Brushy Creek is evil and his dogs never saw Ireland or anything more than his dirty farm.
