Martin County jail guard accused of giving inmate a wedgie fired

Who cares if they're being mistreated in there. They're all criminals and animals. They need to be kept in their cells and never let out so they won't have to worry about being mistreated. I really hate this system anyway. These inmates have to much free time in jail.

Mistreated ?? I think the cop was getting his rocks off playing with the boys... And how long was this going on with others knowing and not speaking up ??? Seems like it goes on at all levels of government

seems like the guard like other peoples dirty underware.

I believe him when he says he was framed-- why should four criminals words be better than one good cop --thats right a good cop that got framed...its a sad state in america right now when the inmates have more power than the deputies..

Wheres the proof? Its clear the administration wanted him out. Now the inmates know the secret to getting rid of a deputy. There is power in numbers. They all lie.

... Oh how I love these stories! Imagine the laughter amongst those who read online these types of American stories in, say Brasil for example. Or, maybe China, Cuba, Salvador, North Korea, ANY Arab nation, ANY African nation..... You dont think this helps to generate an image of Americans as clowns, DO YOU?

Just remember: there are good people in law enforcement and corrections- and then there are criminals with badges. The last place they need to be is guarding prisoners.
I am sure there have been other complaints by prisoners which were investigated and found to be false.
I am sure if this jail guard was dismissed, there was some smoke where there was fire.

My opinion its not the cops or the prisoners .. It's the media.. They love to publish dirt .. and bias dirt.. If it was dirt on someone the paper supports it would be a one liner .. Just read the articles on Crist and Davis .. and you'll see for sure who this paper is supporting..

How about the ones in jail that were framed and don't really belong there?. How about the detectives that manufacture evidence to advance their careers? Not everyone in jail deserves to be there. Do you live with someone without the benefit of marriage? Do you have sex with your partner in other than the missionary position? Do you spit on the street? Do you drive above the speed limit? Well those are all crimes, do you belong in jail?

Only people who have ever worked in a jail or prison in the past can appreciate this story. Take time to listen to stories from ex-officers who have experienced the system on the other side of the wall, then you can understand why one would do the "wedgie" move. It was a bad move (there are cameras), but the frustration in a high stress job can make the professional not so professional at times.....

I have the pleasure of knowing some of the guards in the Martin County jail on a personal level. I will say this and only this. A Guard is to conduct himself professionally at all times. They are not there to befriend or "play around" with inmates. the comment that not all inmates in jail are actually guilty was a spot on match to the truth. Not all guards deserve to wear badges. I have known deputies who break the same laws that they arrest others for everyday. Trust me when I say if the administrators of the Sheriff's Dept thought it necessary to fire him it was deserved.~Remember: not all of the information is released to the public when something like this occurs~

I spent a week in juvenile detention once and got some serious wedgies by the other guys and staff. It was so humiliating, but kept me from wanting to ever go back. One of the staff lierally hauled me down the hall to my cell by the back of my briefs as the other guys cheered him on. It was part ot the whole initiation thing of being there. The last thing I would of done would have been to report it!

Even though the so-called inmates are in jail or prison, they should be treated as a person period. Respect is due anyone whether an officer, staff or inmate. If we allow stinkin' thinkin' to continue to take root in our minds, then the jails and prisons are going to be overcrowded to the point more jails and prisons would be built.

Thats a little inmature. not all inmates actually do something wrong. maybe someone should do it to you!!!!! Ha Ha now thats funnier!!
