I was told by chase that they are only servicing my mortgage and fannie mae was my lender and there is nothing I can do because they packaged up my loan with so many others and sold it in the secondary market. I am screwed and I just wonder how many thousands of others are too. Chase mtg. further refuses to take their responsibility . They just pass the buck which I think is a bunch of bull****! They need to be held accountable. And because of this lousy bush economy my work is now suffering and I since trouble on the horizon. There is no calvary!!!

You are the idiot that financed too much. Dumb A$$. Thanks for raising my taxes with this bailout by the feds and keeping interest rates at too low of a level.

You, just like all you other morons are too stupid to own a house or plan retirement on your own.

Do us all a favor and don't produce any kids.

I think if the Sunsentinel did some more work they would see that the majority of people that are foreclosing are speculators and second home owners that overextended and are getting pinched. I know of no one who has lost their primary residences and are out on the street.

I can't wait for those people that blame everyone else but themselves to chime in.

It goes something like: IT IS NOT MY FAULT!! Its the President's, the Governor's, my dog's, the mailman's, the cab driver's, the realtor's........but definetely not my fault!

A lot of homeowners are trying to do the right thing, but they're stuck in the waiting room of the mortgage ER," said Greg McBride, senior financial analyst with Bankrate.com in North Palm Beach.

Hey Greg ..are you God. do you make the decision what the 'right' thing is. Do the banks do the "right thing" when someone bounces a check because their balance was a penny short" and then the customer gets a $35 charge.

Homeowners don't let people like Greg influence your situation. Homes in Japan went down in value for 20 years. the same thing might happen hear. Why keep your property if it is upside down by 100,000. Give it back to the bank today!!

What? You expect a handout? Why did you buy a home you could not afford? Why didn't you get a real estate attorney to advise you of the risks you were taking?

Better yet, why didn't you take a sense of responsibility and ask basic questions like:

1. how the hell can I afford a home that is 10 times my salary when most smart people buy a home that is only 2 to 3 times their salary?

2. What will my payment be in 5 years when the ARM resets?

3. Am I greedy in thinking I am not going to be left holding the bag in this pyramid scheme.

The banks are losing billions of dollars because too many people played the same game. Now you want what they want. A bailout. It isn't going to happen. Everyone who over extended needs to pay for their own mistake and ignorance. Otherwise the lessons of this crisis will not be learned.

Good, i hope you little stuck up snotty arrogrant Southfloridians take it hard and fast. That is what you get for mistreating people there. God is punishing you for snobbery, and letting the Cuban illegal immigrants have run your state.
If I had to live in Indianapolis, I'd make sure I bought the latest style in flannel shirt, went to the second hand store and bought the finest kitchen set I could find to keep out on my front porch..so I could be just like the filthy red-neck that lived next door to me...

You've got nothing to brag about...now go back to your inbreeding.

OK - Quick quiz for all homeowners in trouble. Analyze the following quote and tell me what wrong with the picture.

“He and his wife closed on their $522,500 home in December 2005. Five months later, they were sued for foreclosure and are still fighting to save their home. Wilson, who is not currently making payments on the loan, acknowledges that the couple should have looked at the loan documents more carefully.”

“‘I didn’t read the papers,’ Wilson said.”

“‘I’m not trying to weasel out of anything. If I owe you $530,000 I’m going to pay it,’ says Wilson.‘Make this loan work with $2,500 (payments) like you initially said. And everyone walks away a winner. If you can’t do that, let us out.’”

But, hopefully, all of us who JUST CAN'T WAIT TO GET OUR DREAM DEAL, will find that $120 k house ON DRY LAND -- not in South Florida where the foreclosures are "dramatically" up because EVERYONE KNOWS SOUTH FLORIDA REAL ESTATE WILL BE THE FIRST GO UNDER THE RISING SEA WHEN THAT GLOBAL WARMING ANTARCTICA ICE SHELF FALLS INTO THE DRINK!

Would you please offer your source of information? I personally know 3 homeowners that did not get a subprime loan who are not speculators or 2nd home owners that are financially desparate due to job loss/work hour reduction and illness. I don't know if you are giving facts from a reliable source or passing on an urban myth.

Say what you want about Indiana. But the good thing about living here, is that there isnt one loudmouth Cuban immigrant in earshot.
