Allsups did not kill her! She knew the risks of working alone. The family couldn't get any money from the killers so they took Allsups for a ride. Watch the prices at Allsups go up now to compensate for this. Everyone suffers!

Allsups did nothing to ensure she did not come to harm while she worked a menial job for pitiful wages...people are far more important than profits!

Sad that she died, but that is way too much money. Money doesn't fix everything, you know.

This is why as a business you have to protect yourself, desperate people with desperate attnys will take you for everything your worth if you let them. Is it a shame this happened?? of course it is, this lady was brutally killed, the killer should be strung up by his BALLLS. Allsups does not promise you if they hire you that you will have a armed gaurd with you, you know the risks, but when something goes wrong everyone goes after the deep pockets.

I thought I was all about the personal responsibility side of this argument.

Upon further consideration, all employers are required to provide a safe work environment. Construction workers are VERY aware how dangerous their job is. If a piece of equipment fails or a dangerous environment is created (even by another employee) the resposibility falls on the employer.

Seems that should apply here, as well.
