Hinsdale Cleared by jury, accused officer looks to rebuild

Why not sue the accuser? And why noy sue the town of Hinsdale for getting fired from animal cobntrol? Obviously he had to be relieved from duty as a PO, but animal control?

Maybe because a year and a half of having your name and life dragged through the mud is enough anguish for anybody. Perhaps because there could be criminal charges filed against the accuser for making a false report to the police. Maybe because the accuser doesn't have assets worth suing over.

Because he wasn't fired,'only' suspended; and because that situation hasn't been addressed yet.

Congratulations Rodney!......Although I don't know you, I do know it must have been an awful ordeal for you and your family to go through.

It must have went down like this:......lady and her aunt are mad at you and go running to the Chief.......what they are telling the Chief seems kinda silly to them so the aunt blurts out...."oh, yeah, not only are we mad at him but 5 years ago he touched me".......Chief, at that point, has to respond somehow, and next thing you know, you are in front of jury of 6.........all based on 1 lie.........pathetic.........1 0 minutes for the jury to come back with a not guilty verdict speaks volumes.....honestly, I wouldn't want to be on a police force where the my Chief didn't back me up..........get a lawyer, sue for back pay and then sue the piss out of the aunt and then take the family on a nice long vacation.........again, congrats!

he should be given back every penny he should have from day one for the NOTHING he did-- AND be given more $$$$$ for all the wrong things THAT were done.

Congratulations, It's very sad that your fellow officers that you risk your life for on a call ect.. never once have had your back.. Your a great guy and a awesome friend.. I hope you take action against the town and the skanks that did this to you.

Anyone making an allegation like this, which turns out to be bogus, ought to pay the costs to prosecute and defend and if they cannot pay then they work it off in jail - this was ridiculous - The DA takes cases like this on hoping to finally notch a victory - Capeless is pathetic
