Why is it when they have a drug bust in Orleans county, its pot or a small amount of crack cocaine ? For all the drugs in this God forsaken county, why is it the major drug task force delivers so little ? Makes you wonder who they are protecting.

Well considering last night they made a huge bust at a meth lab behind MY house, I give them props! I don't live in a "bad" neighborhood either so this came as a big shock to me that this was happening around my children!

I have to agree with Boo. Orleans county spends so much time harassing the little guy that they never seem to have enought time or money left over to do any real good.

The people who were arrested behind your house were building the new Ethanol plant right down the road. Kelly Bertram was a Superintendent for Winbco Tank Company out of Iowa. He was the boss of the multi-million dollar tank portion of the ethanol plant. There's liablity issues here.........contact a lawyer. Contact the media also. Every Dem and Rep was pumpping the jobs this plant would produce. Very few NY'ers are employeed here. There are many Mexicans on site and the Meth trade in the USA is mostly run bu Mexican gangs.

That my community wants to do something about the drug problem in our area. the problem is that MOST that is reported in for pot or small amounts of cocaine, but a lot of us in the community know that it is worse than that. Cocaine and heroin are the two major drugs in this community. Just because they havent been caught doesn't mean that they won't be. These "little" drug busts at least give the honest and drug free citizens hope that our community still cares about what is accessible to our children (esp in the area high schools). Drug should be zero tolerance and I commend them for that. I don't want my children raised where the drug task force say - oh, it's just a little bit - we can let it slide by this time. I want my children to see ZERO tolerance. Besides, one of those busted has three small children of their own...shame on them....

I'm not surprised at all i have called the Medina PD several times about young kids in our local skate park doing drugs in broad daylight.they don't even look into it!if they can't control young children from doing drugs in a public park how are they going to stop big time drug dealers?maybe writing tickets for jay walking or illegel parking is more important them keeping our community free from drugs.I strongly believe we need new leadership.and it starts with our mayor!
catch me if you can

I know exactly what you mean I often wonder the same thing. I have nothing good to say about this county and the way it is ran by the law. All the cops are crooked assholes who deserve no respect...sorry. maybe they should investigate as to where they take these drugs go search their houses. um hmmm. and mr. josh narburgh needs to learn to do his job instead of worrying about serving minors alchohol.

Princess should learn to stop spreading false rumors before she gets herself in serious trouble =] I find it quite funny that people can be so hypocritical.

I have noticed there are many "small" drug busts in the Albion area that end up slapping the offender with a $10,000 bond, give or take $5,000. This is for less than one ounce of Marijuana or tiny amounts of Cocaine. These usaully begin as traffic violations and turn in to busts-of-the-century.
Meanwhile in counties with more than 40,000 citizens and less than two major prisons, they simply confiscate your illegal goods and send you on your way. Worst case scenario they give court appearances and fines.
I have a feeling the judge or judges in Albion get kickbacks from the jail system.
This website shows the truth about all drugs, ranging from Aspirin to Marijuana. http://www.jackherer.com/comparison.html

Obviously, someone was "offended" by my initial post and had it "removed". Truth hurts, doesn't it? The individual spoke about in the above statement with the "kid"....is NOT this way. He is being portrayed as a horrible criminal, when it is simply untrue. People do stupid things, people get wrapped up in horrible situations EVERY DAY and are able to change. The people that go out of their way to hurt others and run their name and their family name in the ground are the usually the ones that have much, much more to hide. So, this comment it directed to the author "Missouri". I, too, am from Luray, where Kelly Bertram was raised and resides. You have gone out of your way for the past 16+ years to hurt him in anyway possible, simply because you were once part of his life in some way, shape or form. Prior to throwing such heavy stones...remove the glass from your own home. No one is perfect...not even you. God Bless you and enjoy the bed you have made.

their are jobs out their but no one wants to do manual labor they would rather lay in bed to noon and smoke pot.the cops are doing a good job.the cops are small in no. compared to all the drug dealers.people need to help these cops instead of just complaining.we should know what our neighbors are doing.report things.i think people who smoke pot are crazy.what a waste of time. if everyone would take care of their own family and work we would not have welfare and people selling drugs.we would be turning in the family members that are selling drugs.

Oh, josh is to concerned about covering up DWI's for his family on their snowmobiles (pretty bad crash I heard but no arrests or tickets Imagine that). When he is not covering family he is busy trying to screw anything with legs at the bars.
