Residents with breathing problems are advised to stay inside and avoid outdoor exercise until the volcanic haze shrouding the islands goes away.

I love this vog. Hopefully many mainlanders would think twice in raising a family here in the islands. I personally think the islands will be better off with lesser number of people.

It's like somebody detonated a nuke. Pretty scary if this has anything to do with climate change. Just looking outside the window and remembering what Pres. Bush and his Republican idiots in control of the House and Senate had done for the last 2 terms makes for a lasting impression. I wonder how short term gains for a few are so justified agaisnt the future generations. Can anybody zip up the mountain spewing this shit?

So you want to compound the situation with more smoke? If you love smoke so much, why don't you go and live in Volcano and savor the smoky air day in and day out. Really!

Each island shows different wind directions; try not to inhale ---

Actually fountaining is worse! Thankfully Hawaii hasn't had a St Helen's, Krakatoa, or Vesuvius.

Sorry I replied to the wrong letter. It's not Hilo Milo I should have criticized but the previous one by Paul who tried to make a mockery of the Coalition for a smoke-free Hawaii.

As for Hilo Milo, I might as well remark that no one expected this much vog and why should you be so gleeful that the rest of us are suffering this foul air? We were here before this happened. Maybe my comment is appropriate for you as well, you should try living in Volcano Village for a change and see how you enjoy the vog.

What in the hell does President Bush have to do with a venting volcano? I'm surprised you rabid democrats didn't blame Lingle too.
Oh by the way, I'm sure a democratic president and congress will waste billions of dollars to try to "zip up the mountain" like you suggest.
Just get your friend Al "I invented the internet" Gore to make a movie about it.
