It is sad that it has taken so long, especially in states like Mississippi where blacks have a majority.

I don't want a white or black senator...I want an effective senator.

I want a senator that didn;t take over 70% of his campaign money from DC lobby types and California far left sources. Harrold Ford Jr has voted 88% of the time with the far left Nancu Pelosi. He does not represent TN values nor will he be representing TN if he wins. He will represent those who bought and paid for him.

Oops--forgot you're white from Tennessee--you won't understand my message. Maybe you can understand this: you are a red-necked, bigoted KKK wannabe!

I saw nothing in that post to even closely imply racism. Why is it when people don't side with a candidate that happens to be black that person is a racist? Perhaps you need to look in the mirror to see the real racist in the picture. It is not about the color of ones skin, but the content of ones character. remember? So just because one doesn't agree with your views and has a specified reason as to why not don't take cheap shots by playing the race card..... He does not look black to me.(If he is mixed race, why is he black and not white or mixed?) Also, why is his colour (whatever it is) even mentioned? This is a serious question, please.

These voters in Tenn. could have had a person from their state in the White House, but no, they can't do that. Now, they vote for a Republican, and he will be in a wheelchair by the time he's remotely ready to think about the Presidency. Tenn. cuts their nose to spite their face. Losers.!

You may not no this, but anytime you have just enough black blood to make people wonder, you are considered black. Black people come in a variety of different skin tones from your deepest dark brown to fair as cream. Any color is mentioned because we don't live in an utopian society like Bush and his boys want you to believe, and race does matter, and I know this my children will know this and there children will know this.

Whipe the droll from your hate monger chin, gobemouche. I realize little mewling dolts like you can't defend what you support and need to spew filth and vitriol while hiding safely behind your computer... but don't for a minute think you reflect on anyone but yourself with your small minded diatribe. I have found that those who spout "racism" are usually the hate monger racists themselves. Maybe in the future you might actually pull your head out of your ass and try to defend your possition instead of acting like a middle school punk who is getting hard nipples by insulting people on the internet. Dork!

Gore was not a choice for the White House, if the Democrates want the White House they will need to find a real man to run for office, good luck on that, lol

It would simply be a good thing if our representatives were to some extent a reflection of those in our society. The Senate is much much whiter than America.

What did you think? He's just a white boy with a good tan? You've been ranting and raving on here about Ford and you don't know? I've got some news for you Truth. Tennesseans, and especially Nashvillians, are better than what you think. In all the political talks that I've had with people, not one of them said anything bad about Ford's race or anybody else's. When I voted, the last thing I thought about was someone's race. I voted for the person that I thought was best qualified. That's the way it is supposed to work. In this case, it wasn't Ford. There is a lot of reasons I didn't vote for hime and race was not one of them.

SoS
Hmmmm, let's see, Limburger, Limbaugh. Seems very similar to me, they both stink.
Hmmmm, let's see, fistful of Vicadin, Drug addict, seems very similar to me (unless you're GOP).
SoS, You got that supposed confusion between Osama and Obama from Dope Limbaugh. Unlike him, I hope your confusion wasn't from a handful of vicadin, but rather just a juvenile cheap shot. Do you still do the "sticks and stones" bit?... I'll bet you do!
I know, I know, poor Rush is under alot of stress and needs our prayers. All that spinning he does would give anyone a headache requiring 18 or 20 vicadin a day.
His attempts to belittle and downgrade an up and coming threat like Obama just shows the intimidation Obama exudes over the Republican party.
Look at who the Republicans ridicule/fear the most and you will see who the strongest in the Democrat party is. Looks like Hillary and Obama are leading the pack to me. My money is on Obama!
