The title of this article is "Rape, satanic worship charged..."
How does one get "charged" with satanic worship? Is there an old-azz law still on the books where one can get charged with "satanic worship"? Is it a misdemeanor or a felony satanic worship charge? The rape and assault with deadly weapon are felonies, but what about the satanic worship? Can we indict satan and charge him with conspiracy? How about aiding and abbetting?

Hopefully, in time the public can see how many of our politicians are deeply involved in this mess.

I believe that is one reason such lenient sentences are given to child rapists and molesters- the ones making the decisions about prosecuting and sentencing are involved in sinister activities like these.

This is a good example of the type of people that make up the democrat party today. The republicans have problems in their party also but the democrat party has become the party for weird people. Look at the comments on this post and you can easily see what I'm talking about. They see nothing wrong with satanic worship, it's just an everyday thing with most of them. Just some interesting information take it for what its worth.

Per capita we have more cults residing here in WNC than anywhere else in the world. Now people have their opinions as to why they come here, mine is our liberal "Asheville anyway you like it" attitude, that just screams all freaks into the pool.

Most people linked to or accused of satan worship are not. They are of relgions of differing practice, but rarely truely satanic. Satan worship is a catch all for the intelligence challenged.

Not to diminish satan worshipers, if thats their thing, they do exsist in Asheville. You can look them up if you feel the need. They don't practice that Anton LeVey type of service Hollywood made famous.

Finally you have the all important wannabes. I have been witness to rituals carried out in Pisgah Forest and on Beaucatcher Mt. Mainly fake blood and chanting words that they had no idea what they meant in latin. I do remeber that they kept chanting ibi sumus over and over. I find that funny because that was the first phrase I learned in latin class. Ibi sumus litterally translates to, here we are.

No I was not involved, but was open minded, young, and was invited to watch.

You just are not informed enough to recognize them. They are everywhere.

They are in your public schools. They are in your local and state government. They are checking out your groceries and serving you food. They are on this forum and work for this and other local newspapers. They are scout leaders and nurses and doctors.

Sometimes they let you know who they are by their actions and sometimes they are very secretive.

A few of the indicators are their support for earth-based religions, their bristling when Christ or the Heavenly Father is mentioned, their wearing mostly purple or black (and sometimes red or white)clothing ( they believe this gives them poweer), wearing silver jewelry-sometimes with pagan symbols, stringy white hair, black polish on their 5th finger and of course their little rituals that involve sex and/or sacrifices.

There are nests of these prople all over these mountains.

I would love to just say 'live and let live' to their idiocy, but way too often children are involved- and that is abuse.

I would also love to meet a group of Christians who have conviction enough to stand up against these lovers of the dark world. But way to many good people are complacent about this serious problem.

That is why there are so many of these disgusting creatures living around here.
