You lost me completely now. As of this moment there are 20 posts (not including this one) on a single page and absolutely NOWHERE have I said one thing about judgemental, hyprocritcal, stuck-up, drugged out people.
Look to see who is posting what before you start typing. Considering these facts, I am dismissing you as an idiot.

Maybe because when we patronize the businesses in the village we aren't there to shoplift'.

CommenT wrote: WELL A LITTLE TOUCHY AREN'T WE? I never said anything about, "bad guys" not going 10 miles down the road. What are you talking about? I never said anything about safe. No one anywhere is safe. YES YOU DID...IN THE SENTENCES BELOW. YOU NOW FEEL SAFE FROM BEING JUDGED BY PEOPLE WHO ARE IN THE COMMUNITY. I never tried to compare my words to anything of your understanding, apparently. I just said, I can go to the store, the bar, or for a walk down the street and not have such judgemental, hypocritical, stuck-up, drugged-out happiness-wannabes around me. People are seriously happy here. YOU ARE SAFE FROM FEELING BAD BECAUSE YOU THINK OTHERS DON'T FIND YOUR STUFF UP TO THEIR STANDARDS. They don't need to compare their possessions to seem "good", they don't need to do drugs to be "hang-out-worthy". People here are friendly, helpful and honestly happy. We don't drive around on a Friday night looking for something to do, then end up shooting heroin because that's what everyone else is doing. We make our own fun without dependance. WHAT DO YOU MEAN--- DEPENDANCE? It's just a cool place. Don't be jealous I'M NOT, BELIEVE ME. P.S. There wasn't a "murder" you news-consuming junkie. You don't even know the facts. You sound like the type to believe that Hiroshimia was really neccessry because the news at the time says it. HUH ?? It was two drunks getting in a fight, one refused medical assistance and died two days later. So what. Mistakes happen. MISTAKES HAPPEN!!!! WELL I HOPE NONE OF YOUR LOVED ONES IS EVER SENT TO THE GREAT BEYOND BY A MISTAKE. IF ONE INDIVIDUAL PUTS HIS/HER HANDS ON ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL AND THAT INDIVIDUAL DIES, THE LAW MUST ACT. DRUNKEN STUPIDITY IS NOT AN EXCUSE. Yeah there are lowlifes in every area. Just fewer where I live and it makes me happy. Even the lowlifes around here would be willing to help you out if you needed it. I'D BET THAT THE RATIO OF GOOD TO BAD PEOPLE IS IDENTICAL IN ALPENA OR OSSINEKE OR ANY OTHER LOCALE IN THIS AREA. I DON'T BEGRUDGE YOUR NEW FOUND FEELINGS OF SAFETY OR HAPPINESS BUT HAPPINESS IS NOT AFFECTED BY GEOGRAPHY. HAPPINESS IS FOUND WITHIN EACH OF US. WORK ON THAT. I'm a really happy person and I wanted to post about it because all these people on this website seem so unhappy. I just wanted a little of my good feelings to rub off on other people and it was for those that live in Ossienke. Hence, being under the "Ossineke, MI Forum". If you are so against it, why are you reading posts from our zipcode?! P.s. Still never said anything about safe. Do you read what you type? I just said there's a lot less stupid people in Ossineke then Alpena.. maybe it's population and that's great anyway. The lower the population, the more real people are. The higher the pop - the higher the crime and the less beauty in nature. Just get real woman! What are you the real housewife of Alpena? NEVER SAID I'M SAFE FROM FEELING BAD OR JUDGED. I just said people in Alpena are a lot more judgemental and put on facades. I like the realism in Ossienke. Maybe I should have said that. de·pend·ence/diˈpend əns/Noun: 1.The state of relying on or being controlled by someone or something else. 2.Reliance on someone or something for financial support. None of my loved ones would have invited a person like stoner steve in to live with them. You can't keep a snake as a pet and expect it not to bite you. I don't need to work on my happiness within myself. The reason I typed this was because I'm so happy and SO PROUD. Why don't you work on it?

Wake Up wrote: Really,I would like to know what kind of drugs some of the people on here take.Talking about Ossineke like it is a vacation destination out of a magazine. And if you visit there all your troubles will disappear, are you people crazy? You talk about not shoplifting at the local store like you might at walmart, maybe that is because most of the things at the village market are probably out dated, and what could they really have someone might want to steal. And yes I'm sure people shoplift at walmart, maybe because that is pretty much the only store in town. And the fireworks that you can see up and down the coast, first you sound like you live in a resort for the wealthy, but the only reason you stay there to watch the fireworks is so when you get drunk or high you don't have as far to crawl home. And thetruth you bought a home in Ossineke maybe because they are cheaper unless you are on the lake.So since crime is everywhere what this means is if someone breaks into your home or someone assaults you it will just take the police longer to get there. And if you are unlucky enough to get hurt or have a heart attack chances are you will be dead before you get to Alpena General, but that is okay the fine hospital that it is you will probably die anyway.thetruth I am happy that you love where you live, but get real it's Ossineke, don't try to make it out like you live in a lavish home on the ocean. 1. Walmart being "pretty much the only store in town" does not make it alright to shoplift. 2.The products in O-town are not outdated. Infact, a lot of the products come from local farmers and are organic. How do you like your walmart hamburger? 3.You don't have to live in a resort for the wealthy to have the feeling Ossineke beach brings. It's a lot cleaner and a lot nicer than Alpena's. Alpena residents travel to our beach in the summer because of the dirt and filth of Alpena's beaches. Infact when I lived in Alpena, a group of us would go to Ossineke because of how much nicer it was. Just because people watch fireworks doesn't mean they are getting drunk or high. Okay? 4. I searched for a house for 3 years with a wonderful Alpena real estate agent. Homes in town were the same price, if not cheaper than in Ossineke. I didn't want to live on the northside or right in town - Alpena(which were the cheapest locations for houses). I like my privacy and clean air, so I spent the EXTRA money to live in Ossineke. 5. I don't care about the police taking longer to get here. If someone breaks into my house, I got a gun and the right to use it. The Alpena police haven't responded any quicker than when I lived in Alpena and they haven't helped any more (not that I personally had to use the police). We have a wonderful emergency team out here that are on-call, in fact one of them is a very good friend of mine. 6. I don't need to live in a lavish home on the ocean. In fact, I have relatives that do and it's really nothing more to write home about than where I live. Happiness still stands.

Actually 23 times 3 is 69. Is that closer to your age? Way to not know how to do math. Was that your Alpena elementary school teaching?

P.S. The people I speak of are all up and down Chisholm Street during the daytime, from the homeless shelter because they get kicked out to look for work. Of course that isn't what most of them are doing. I am not judgemental on them. I speak from fact (from truth). If you can see the fireworks from where you live, you should know the people I'm talking about. It's around your vicinity. Most of the house that were once nice, are now turned into 5 apartments, soon to be foreclosed on, with dog feces and cat urine perminately imbedded in the carpetting. Again, this is the truth. Not my personal judgement. I'm all about giving people the benefit of the doubt. I work in career field that puts me directly at knowing who these people are (using and abusing the system). A lot of them are recruited from downstate because of the overflow. How about the countless families that go into Neiman's and purchase 2 carts full of 12 pack sodas on their bridge card, only to pour it all out, come back in about 1 hour later to get $300 in cash, then go spend it on drugs. I've seen it. Not judgemental. It's the truth. Even if you're not 3 times my age, I'm sure you're not close enough to my age to know the statistics of kids in school will also speak the truth. There is bad everywhere.. it's just a little less worse where I live. There shouldn't be an argument about this. Get off it.
